So anyway.....

How are you watering? By hand? Drip irrigation?

I've considered doing some indoor beds (geo pot makes a 6x3 fabric bed) because I really like the idea of having a huge swath of soil and all of the microbial activity that would come with it. I've kind of gotten used to the individual smaller containers for watering. I can pick them up and immediately know if they need a drink. It would take a minute to get the hang of a much bigger container like this.

Are you just waiting for the plants to show that they need water?
Could hook you up with a 300gal lol.

One week of flowering today. Bud development is well underway in most of the individuals I bred, the Trainwreck and Super Siler are well behind however.

This comes as no surprise to me though as I selectively bred this strain for its photosensitive traits. It's my main outdoor staple and is always done by sept 5-15th @ 54•N if left to veg out without getting root bound. Not a big yielded but reliable.

Little bud shot for u guys, end of first week.

Day 9 today, noticed a few leaves looking a bit nibbled on, awakening my horde..

Pic of the Trainwreck. This seed is one that I found in a bag of TW. It was the only seed I found in the whole half# I bought/medicated with. Does anyone have any experience with the wreck?

Random pic of bud development on the strain that I will refer to as XXX from here on in, or until such time in can come up with a name for it.

Regards,

Ck.

Everything is going great. Decided to not let my soil dry out the 1" that I was at the beginning. Watering 2-3 gallons every 2-3 days and about 5 gallons of tea every other weekend.

Going to do a top dress of dandilion and stinging nettle with a leaf/grass cover mulch tomorrow.

Would it be advisable to add chicken manure to my top dress at this stage in the game?

I've never used it before but I recently found a free supply of organic chicken manure

Thx

Top dressed with kelp meal & mulch (fresh dandilion, fresh nettle, organic lawn/yard compost)

Watered 8 gallons of rainwater.

Things are going smoothly.

6 of my hybrids plus a tiny trainwreck and an even more pathetic super silver. The two oddballs of the group had two weeks less veg time and are obviously just less vigorous

Yesterday I noticed some evidence of Thrips on a few leaves in the lower canopy. Decided to hell with the ladybugs and sprayed everything with 35ml/L Safers organic Insect killer soap. Will re-apply in 4 days and once more 4 days after if needed. When I checked them at first light it appeared that most of the nice white pistils were nuked brown but after checking them 7 hours later they are bouncing back nicely and have already sent out many new pistils. Phew!

So just thought I'd show the progress of the 'little trainwreck who could'..

Only about 18" tall but starting to put on some bud now. I think I was a little disappointed in it because it is taking longer than my other ladies but its starting to come around.. Slow vegging and slow to kick into flower, I have 8 clones of this vegging right now, going to see how she turns out but I might skip half of them on the next cycle and let the other 4 veg really big.. They don't build closets with a 9' ceiling for nothin!
