So sorry to hear the passing of a legend. We'll be playing FleetWood Mac all day. RIP lovely woman!
Indeed!... I can't imagine many people that have not heard at least a handful of thier songs. I've always had a crush on Stevie.... such a distinctive and beautiful voice.Wow, and that’s how I found out. A fantastic and beautiful artist. Sad to see her go, but she left us with some of the greatest music of all time. Fleetwood Mac is awesome, one of my all time favorite bands. She will be missed by many.
My fav. Fleetwood Mac songs are mostly w/Christine on lead vocals, classy lady big loss
Hell ya. I've loved her voice since I was a kid. It's kinda hypnotic to me.Indeed!... I can't imagine many people that have not heard at least a handful of thier songs. I've always had a crush on Stevie.... such a distinctive and beautiful voice.
As these iconic artists from the 70's begin to pass,I find myself flashing back being in my parent's car as a kid hearing these songs on AM radio, oblivious to the fact that i was experiencing the Golden Age of music IMHO. What a absolutely incredible amount of talent in the singer/songwriter,rock,hard rock genre from the late60's to mid 70's period of time, unmatched and never to be repeated. No disrespect to current musicians but I don't think that the vibe that existed in that era can ever be repeated. That's really sad, I've many great memories associated with Fleetwood Mac.
They're one my all time favorite bands with pink floyd and supertramp.
It's absolutely fantastic!
Agree...sadly, it's gonna keep happening. We're all gonna die, and the older you get, the faster time slips away.As these iconic artists from the 70's begin to pass,I find myself flashing back being in my parent's car as a kid hearing these songs on AM radio, oblivious to the fact that i was experiencing the Golden Age of music IMHO. A lot of what you're saying strikes a chord with me.As these iconic artists from the 70's begin to pass,I find myself flashing back being in my parent's car as a kid hearing these songs on AM radio, oblivious to the fact that i was experiencing the Golden Age of music IMHO. I like them both.. it’s what made them Fleetwood Mac. Wished I would have got to see them live. I looked up Stevie tickets yesterday… front floor tickets were about $1800.00!It always bothered me that all the focus seemed to be on Stevie Nicks. I always thought Christine McVie was a better singer/musician.
I saw them when I was 13 years old and still in Middle School for their Rumors tour. I went with my best friend and his older sister and boyfriend that were older and could drive. I think the tickets cost around $7 at the time. General admission no reserved seating. People used to line up for concerts and it was a mad dash for the best seats back then. We smoked bowls of Columbian before the show and I was so stoned that I almost passed out. Good times.I like them both.. it’s what made them Fleetwood Mac. Wished I would have got to see them live.
