Chopping off 1 cola

I have a plant with about 7 colas, if I chop one off for an early smoke, will this impede the growth of the other six? and if so, how badly? Will it kill the plant? About 4 weeks into flowering btw...

While I don't, lots of folks harvest a little at a time, but it's usually removing the ripe stuff.

I don't think it'll hurt what's left . . . you're simply decreasing the proper harvest.

But its covered in trichomes, its just that the pistils are still mostly white and the trichomes are not amber, so it should be good right?

It'll probably get ya nice and high, but not as high as it will in X weeks . . . and it won't taste like the finished final product.
Mine are trich covered before the buds even appear, but I'd be a fool to cut those upper leaves off.

Oddly enough this just happened to me, I cut some of the inner/lower buds from my flowering sativa and after smoking it today I got a mean headache and had to pop some excedrin. I had to try it since this is my first grow.

And I'm at 6 weeks....

indoor can be alot quicker but if it hasnt ripened even a little you will regret it. ever had an unripe apple or orange? horrible! same thing goes here..
btw, mine are covered in trichs early too but they are all clear which means low thc percentage.

I don't know of any 4 week flowering-to-ripe strains myself. Most take at least 8.

hmm, I smoked the leaves from some broken branches (critters) from my Sativa's just as they started budding, harsh taste of course but clean lightweight high and no dullness after it finished. High only lasted about an hour though.

Smoke tinny bud at 3 weeks and same affect with bit better high lasted hour and a half with a clean exit as before
