Chop or pull out with roots?

Hey guys so i read online that instead of cutting the plant when harvesting you should pull it out with the roots so that the plant gives all of its energy into the buds. Is this true? Why does everyone still chop then? I know that a pesticide called Glyphosate kills the plant forcing its energy to go into the product... Thank you all for replies in advance

Mate dont use Glyphosate, it's the ingredient in roundup weedkiller which apparently causes cancer, you certainly dont want to be smoking that shit!

A different variation to the technique you are referring to is to chop the stem or rip the root ball out, wash off all the dirt, then put the stock/roots into a bucket of water like you would a flower in a vase and keep it in the dark for 24-48 hours before hanging it to dry. It will increase the oil production because of the stress.

Go ahead and use Glyphosate. Smoke that stuff all up! It will be fun they said.

Just don't hang it upsidedown without washing the roots thoroughly. I did that once when i was first starting out, quite high, and dirt gets in the buds and won't come out.

I had some bud once which was covered in dirt I bet this was why! ... damn lol

Just chop at stalk .... no stupid roots , no bloody dunking in ice , no drama , no bro science.

Trim and hang. Then head to pub.

Use this moment as a chance to experiment. I forgot you have more than 1 plant, so one with a chip, and the other- take the roots out and put in water. See if you notice a difference.

But i heard the root pulling on youtube somewhere... Im growing full organic, not even touching chemicals

So from i read i shouldnt be pulling the plants with the roots because i could get dirt into the buds?

if there is dirt on the roots, (which there will be unless you clean them), and hang them upside down, the dirt falls into what is under it... buds are sticky, so if it gets in them, you won't be getting it out. I did this long ago, and immediately I thought, " how could I be so stupid, lol". I still smoked it, but also inhaled a lot of dirt. the putting it in water thing might work great... personally I've never tried that...

I usually just cut the stem...

Lots of wheat is sprayed with Roundup. When the wheat is dying, all of its energy goes into the seed head increasing yield. My daughter is gluten intolerant but can eat wheat products in France where roundup is banned. It's all about $$$
