I got my Chocolate Thai seeds today, let the games begin. ALL COMMENTS WELCOME!!!

Gonna grow 4 of the Chocolate Thai’s in my 4x4 tent. It will be tight.

The plan:
Just dropped 8 seeds into water. I’ll give them 24-48 hours and then put them in root riots.

Seedlings will go into small 5” pots for sexing. I realize these may take long to show sex and the pots are small, but I grow DWC for flowering. If need be I’ll upgrade to 1 gallon pots for sexing.

Once sexed, all will be cloned. I will save the males for future breeding and preservation. I just got a new storage shed that will be perfect for collecting pollen. I just need to build it out and grow males when temps permit.

The females will be flowered when they are 4-5” tall. They will get either 10-14 or 11-13 on lighting. Until the plants get to be 12” they will be under t5 5000k flouros. After that a 600 HPS.

This is gonna be a long ride since she flowers for 14-16 weeks. I’m probably looking at a mid June or July harvest.

Gonna try to keep their height under control by topping and training when necessary.

Btw, I got Wormwood F2 freebies

As I stated, all comments welcome.

Subbed, looking forward to this! Hyped you popped them right away.

I have some Mountain Medicine (Durban Poison x Purple Haze) from Natural Farm in flower now. Collecting pollen from a male, he should start releasing pollen within this week. Not sure if I'll use him just collecting for now.

Ok a little update. Germination rate only 62.5% so far. Had 5 of the 8 pop. one literally lost its cotyledons while trying to pull out of the root riot. I dropped one and broke its stem , leaving me 3 plants. So I threw 4 more seeds in some h2o2 water for 36 hours and just put them in root roots. 2 had popped the shell already. Fingers crossed on all 4 of these new seeds.

Anyway, not the best news but we will move forward.

Ok, so it looks like my germination rate is gonna be right at 66% if no other seeds pop, which I doubt. Not very good at all for a commercial offering.

Seeds all sat in water for 36 hours and then into root riots. The seedling dome was maintained at 88 to 90% with the temperature holding right around 78 to 79.

with that said, the seeds that germinated seemed very vigorous. By the time they opened their cotyledons their roots were out of the bottom of the root roots.

so 8 of 12 germinated. One didn’t make it and I killed one

transplanting the 3 new ones today and putting them in the tent.

pics later…

Temps and humidity are far from ideal. It’s very cold and dry here. My humidifier seems to be on its way out as I find it now running about half the time. Have to unplug it and plug it back in to get a reaction.

I added a temp/humidity monitor to the tent last Thursday the 11th. Since that time average temps have been 79° and humidity only 26%

and as you can see a couple plants could be more healthy. They are in FFOF so it could be a little strong for them.

plan to top all of these when they get larger.
