Looks like we have a few grows going on with these panels, good to have a couple of grows so we can compare, subbed to both your grows oregon and hillbilly, good luck and let's grow some chinese weed :) Will be posting updates/pics on Sunday's here, babies are looking awesome, transplanted from the cups into the pots Tuesday night and have seen no transplant shock, all are growing new nodes and fattening up quick. Not surprised though, have vegged a couple of runs with LED's and for vegging they're keepers, perfect too in that you're saving huge amounts of power, not having to deal with heat issues, all during the longest lights-on period, what's not to like?

I have a extremely tight space, and wanted more lights. When I added more cfl's, I started having heat issues, so the led was a nice addition.

I had a little bit of a heat problem, happen to look at my thermometer and it was sitting at 89 in my space but has since been corrected with a little hillbilly ingenuity. Probably be going into flowering in the next 5-6 weeks so I gotta get on the ball about getting another light for my veg room

Wow must be a confined space, or maybe warmer where you are. I've been adding heat (added a vent from the house furnace) to the room I have the veg cabinet in to keep my temps at 75-78, summer's quite different though, will be pumping air conditioning in from the house. Our area has extreme temps, 0 to -10 winter, 90's in the summer, makes it a job just maintaining temps. Nice thing with these lights is they're cheap and readily available, I've received them 3-5 days from ordering, not bad considering customs is 1-2 days of that.

well they actually have a warehouse in new jersey so they can ship shit without having to worry about going thru customs when shipping to the customer, I won't order anything coming directly from china. I order a speedo for motorcycle and it took it a month and a half to get here because of that. It's pretty cold here in colorado, I just keep my thermostat set so I don't have to worry about them freezing. One thing I do love about the place I live in is each room has it's own thermostat so we don't have to heat the entire place just for 1 small grow room, with the lights off and without my rigged up duct work it stays 72-75 in my room and will dip down to 69-70 in the grow space. I keep it at about 79-80 with the lights on so I get a 9-11 degree drop with the lights off which is good for the girls, helps simulate natural conditions

I just want to get a LED panel to save on the electricity bill, I'm growing in a bubbleponic system so the bumps r running 24/7 so that adds up and it will maintain the right temp. I'm right at 72 right now. Do you guys think that's to cold I'm 3 weeks into veg. and I just FIMed it on wednesday. Is anyone growing in a grow tent, are they worth it. Thinking about getting one soon to keep it super stealthy and once it starts flowering it'll help contain the smell and get I'll get a carbon filter too. Anyone have smell problems or have to use a carbon filter? Sorry for all the questions I'm still new to this, this my first grow.

Growing some critical kush atm and have 4 800 cmf filters and it works grate no outside vent in the winter..
No Smell but at harvest it can still get a bit ruff even with all those filters running.

As long as you keep the temps between 70 and 80 you should be good, if you get the temps over that and can't get them to stay lower then you'd want to throw in some co2 to help it deal with the higher temps. My roommate is using a grow tent to veg in but I closed in his closet so he could flower in it and grow larger plants, I've got a carbon airfilter I bought from htg supply and it's worked really good. I don't have it hooked up to the outlet ducting right now as I don't need it yet but it's definitely helped in the past. If you decide to get a panel from www.topledgrowlight.com just put in the "notes to seller" when it directs to paypal that you were referred from rollitup, I'm trying to talk them into giving a discount to RIU members

Hello everyone, busy weekend, besides a very long party (damn I'm getting old!), got some stuff done today... Cleaned up and re-lined the veg cabinet, had been meaning to do this before starting this run, looks much better, the ladies will be happy. The old reflective material was a quick & dirty job and needed a re-vamp. Used the same wall material I'm using in the new room, it's a styrofoam insulation called DuroFoam, meant for exterior/concrete walls, the one side is lined with essentially mylar and very reflective. I like it, it's easy to work with, provides insulation and great reflective properties.

All 4 are doing quite well. Will post today's pic beside Tuesday's pic just after they were transplanted at Day 20 for comparison, looks like they're liking their environment :)

Today is Day 25, transplanted them into these pots Day 20, fed them their first feeding/watering (still low at 300 ppm) yesterday, since transplanting them with plain water. Looks like around 4-5 day watering cycles. One thing with LED grows is watching the amount and frequency of waterings, more specifically watching not to over-water. Less heat from the LED's = less evaporation, longer between waterings. It's strain and cycle dependent but in general it's easy to over-water using LED's and takes some getting used to.

Planning to let them go one more week to get well rooted/established after the transplant before starting some LST and maybe topping, depending on their growth rate. Looking like

Some general shots of all 4, including Tuesday's pic after transplanting them for perspective...

All-1-Day25.jpgAll-2-Day25.jpg

Some close-up's of each:
JTR1 "The Twins", notice the smaller "runt" now peaking out, it's growing towards the light and bending it's stalk around to capture light, interesting that it did this with no training...
JTR1-Twins1-Day25.jpgJTR1-Twins2-Day25.jpg

JTR2, coming along nicely, this was initially quite a bit smaller than JTR1 but I like the way this one is growing, it's developed two main stalks, like it was mainlined but naturally, noticed this one really take off once it was transplanted...

Here are PBK1/PBK2. First Indicas I've grown indoor since I started last year. Interested to see how differently (if at all) they grow indoor. I'd always grow some indicas for meds outdoor, but mostly stuck with big producing sativas like Blueberry (good short season producers). They're both doing great and almost head-to-head size wise...

Oh yeah, important update, 5 days after transplant and they all looked well rooted in their new pots so moved the lights down to 24" and flipped from 20/4 to 18/6 tonight...

Looking good man, LSTing indicas really seems to create a really nice even canopy. Mine developed an even canopy with 5 nodes in the top real nicely, with some more training I've got 2 more popping up to join the group. Was about half tempted to cut my Amherst sour diesel to main line it but I would like to get this first grow under the led panel done first and then go from there.

hello hillbilly 86,nice to see you here.:)
I'm running my current grow under a 576 watt reflector panel from lg-led solutions. Not hooked up the multimeter to it to check actually wattage but I knew going into it that most led panels only run at 55-60% of they're advertised wattage. Growing an Amherst sour diesel from seed, 2 bubba kush, and 2 flo clones, so far I'm impressed with the light. They come with a 3 year warranty, free shipping, and they have a warehouse in new jersey so shipping didn't take a month. You can check 'em out at www.topledgrowlight.com and if anyone happens to decide to get one put in the "note to seller" when it directs to paypal that you were referred from rollitup, trying to talk 'em into giving a discount to RIU members. In order of appearance, Amherst Sour Diesel 29 days old, Bubba kush, Bubba Kush, Flo all 20 days old, then the little guy is a flo sitting at 13 days old

Hey thanks, they sure seem happy and growing like weeds ;) I like LST, it's easy and produces well with little effort and thinking much the same, won't be doing a lot other than taking good care of these ladies this round. I'll likely top once and LST, take it easy this round, too many things on the go, have to focus on finishing the new room as well. Have 2 more of these PBK fem Indica's in my tent that are about 3 weeks behind this round, will have to figure out whether to join this round or run them separate, think I may run them separate along with some clones off these in the current round. Have a 12/12 from seed going as well so could put them in there, decisions, decisions... Cheers.

I have those same models from LG LED solutions. They work well for me, otherwise I couldn't afford the electricity bill (PG&E always rapes you) I have two 150 watt reflectors and two 300 watt reflectors. Here's what is under the 300 Watts currently (two 300 watt models in a 2x2 tent). All are at 38 days of flower. They make nice, sticky, frosty, dense buds for me. This is my second grow using the LED's, I veg under T5's then move to LED when it's time to flower.

"Like", very nice. 2 of those panels in that tent would basically be wall-wall lighting above those babies, that's a lot of light in that size tent, nice...The beauty of LED's with virtually no heat compared to any other light source is that you CAN put that much light in a small space. Looking good, enjoy the bounty :)

Looking very good GroErr, specially the JTRs, have you grown these before ? Have always wanted to try out subcoolsstuff but they dont do feminized seeds. Would like to grow out their agent orange. Anyway will you be flowering these under LEDs too or just vegging ?

Wait... a... minute...

I thought Chinese LEDs can't grow bud!!?

Better be careful, because according to several users here they're supposed to electrocute you, burn your house down, rape your daughter, and kick your dog...
Its not that they dont work.. its that they more often than not break down, dont last more than a grow and dont live up to their warranty... reputations get earned not given for no reason..

lmao, that's exactly why I started this thread, to hopefully dispel the myths. It's great too that some other (cheap, chinese) LED'rs have come out to support the cause.
