no, stay away

use the money on some quality LEDs like the Area-51 or go for a HID light until you got the coin

yea, that might grow you a single small Auto to a medium result, but IMOO not worth the time/effort/money, if you can`t use etc. +500$ on a good quality LED panel you should look at a 400W HID system with a cool tube instead, both will grow you 2-4 nice plant`s and keep you with smoke a UFO is for the hobby smoker and grower, would be fine for a tomato plant Im sure

I have a 135W china Ufo $90. with the new style cree leds.(has over 4000hrs and still going strong). puts out more lums then My Usa made 135w Ufo $180... with normal leds... at half the price0331131320-00.jpg0412131727-00.jpg0322131756-01.jpg (photos are of the china Ufo 135w with Cree leds)

if you want weight at harvest time. use an HPS.. at 600w-1000W Cree LED light.

I picked up a couple of Area51 led panels, the all white 2014 model, completely worth every penny. Absolutely the best lights I've ever had clones under. You can either have it on 130W for veg or 190W for flower. 72 5W Cree led's per panel, brighter than the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel itself, LOL.

The HID in the above picture is on 400W, you can see the A51 panels behind have alot better light intensity. The picture is a bit deceptive as well. the led's look alot lower than the HID hood, but they're really not much more than an inch or 2 lower. I listened to the man above, Slipon, when I was looking for some led's, and saved my pennies to get the Area51 panels, I'm so glad I did now.
If anybody wants, PM me, I can tell you how to get some A51 panels alot cheaper than retail, and no I'm not talking about knock offs. Peace & Love. Myco

You get what you pay for usually.

Listen to these people, they know what they're talking about, and I would recommend the same thing.

here is my critical sensi star under 2- 400w Chinese panels $199 each on ebay day 35 the results speak for them self, solid ,sticky, and stinkyView attachment 2940526View attachment 2940527View attachment 2940528View attachment 2940529View attachment 2940530View attachment 2940531

That is indeed a nice grow, sir.
The reason we discourage Ebay/Amazon/Chinese LED panels around here is because the chances of getting results like yours, for the price you paid, are very low.
I'm glad that you were so lucky in your purchase, but please understand that many others aren't, which ruins the LED experience for many growers.

and I don't know the gram to watt ratio yet as this is my first grow with these panels but I can tell you the buds are rock hard and a lot of them, I have 21 days left I will keep ya updated

Maybe part of the misunderstandings come from the wattage stated. If you buy a 90 watt LED you are probably getting half that in actual wattage for the plant. Read the actual wattage and not the number of leds x watt of each (a 300 watt led on ebay might be 150 - 180 watts) so if you calculate your wattage from the box, you will be short in the grow room.

ya the vipar "400W" panels I have actualy draw 280 I was alittle skeptical but that's what the website said and when I got them I pluged into a watt meter and that's what it told me so atleast the website stated both 133 x 3w LEDS and the the real power.

Having experience with ufo type fixtures, they leave a lot to be desired, as it is almost impossible to use multiples without significant canopy overlap

Square/rectangular is much better that reason alone

Beyond that I have read of china- made lieing about using Cree diodes,so how can you be sure?

I do have 2 ~ 16" clones under 2 ufos now. Even though one is 5000K and the other 3000K, I spread them then angle them toward the middle in hopes of getting more even light as well as spectrum balance to the canopy.

It's a bit hard to see the 2 ufos as their shells are black
