Chemical weapons used by Syria

Iirc the Barbary campaign, the first offshore blooding of the U.S. Marines, was not about Jihad but about keeping infestation of pirates in the sea lanes down to a dull roar. The motive was commercial.

Well, no. From your own link...

In March 1785, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams went to London to negotiate with Tripoli's envoy, Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdrahaman (or Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja). When they enquired "concerning the ground of the pretensions to make war upon nations who had done them no injury", the ambassador replied:
It was written in their Koran, that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every mussulman who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise. He said, also, that the man who was the first to board a vessel had one slave over and above his share, and that when they sprang to the deck of an enemy's ship, every sailor held a dagger in each hand and a third in his mouth; which usually struck such terror into the foe that they cried out for quarter at once. [SUP][20][/SUP]

Nothing at all has changed in this long term struggle with actual Jihad. Global Domination and subjugation of women, enslavement of the infidel.

Same as it ever was to me. Jefferson's War is the USA as a matter of fact. We are the current top dog because of this enemy. They had to be regulated by force then same as now. It is still written in the Koran as I understand it.

Is there something I'm missing?

Yup, it was protection of commerce. One of the actual reasons our military is supposed to exist.
Of course, NOT. WE were paying a 20% of the Various States income per year, to get ships and slaves back. VIG to a warlord of Jihad, harassing Christian shipping. The Entire of Europe sat mewling and puking and wringing their hands, like now.

Not commerce. Extortion.

When we started this endless kick-ass, Jefferson said what should be a much more famous quote.

We will spend Millions on Defense, but we will not spend another cent on Tribute.

Death is goal, not because of how the death is but the resistance and courage expelled for the death to come without fear and acceptance

Allah promises the victory to the path of Firdaws

Damn, son. You seem correct. Kerry is saying WE will punishes them even if no one will help.

So, Obama trades concessions with Putin, to make his statement about WMD. What sneaky, War Art, is this move to cover? We will never know. But, the children's children may.

Surely they will be negotiating on just how much military to degrade and make some concessions about debt
holding, etc.

Fuck Yeah!@

A Fine President and this is not the quote that will go down in history, as also, the quote that started Jefferson's war did not. We are about to go in harms way yet again. And again, no one will help. All will consume the consequence.

"No one ends up more War Weary than me.....but,...." President Barrack Obama

Huzzah! I'm glad I won't be the decision maker.

But, his point is no WMDs on babies and WE are not kidding.

Bold or stupid? Not read in. His call.

Isn't an unprovoked, unsanctioned, unilateral strike on Syria a breach of the same international law that dickhead Obama claims to be enforcing?

I'm not a Trier of that Fact. Who is the Court of recourse? It is real, my friend. It is why we rule ourselves. No one to blame.

So you don't want to answer the question.

Fine, I'll explain it to you.

A non-defensive war initiated without UN approval is a breach of international law.

So your proposal is punitive action for a breach of international law, which is a breach of international law?

NO. No dodge. Read again. I will stipulate to all you say. I've said many times it is entirely fucked up.

But, you could at least give ole Doer a reach around. What exactly would constitute a breach? Chapter and verse. Actual text only. I will duke with the law.

Show me that and I will drive a Lawyer Truck thru it.

(closed course, professional drivers, all fun stimulated, no boast intended,
all international laws are stipulated)

The Brits for the first time since the 1700's voted against going to war, for the sake of the government's request. They seem to be aware of the international consequences of waging one with Syria, and for that matter Russia. This is would make Iraq a walk in the park in comparison. Everyone in the world seems to understand that except the US, which again seemingly wants to lead the way. This is bullshit, and I think first off, get the truth about whose weapons they were, which seems like common sense. Obama's WH is starting too look much like GW's, in that respect.
