Cool Lg .. yeah im happy with the turnout so far im just waitin to sample them all ..
Next run will be C99--SAGE-- LmX#2--Pk x Heri--Jack Herer--Cheese--and then a mix of the current strains .. im probably going to do coco and hydro only.. these are all in small pots now waiting to get repotted .
Plus if the LmX#1s are any good i'll be running some of them again.

I forgot to update the smoke reports form the last grow so here it is..


Smoke reports anit really my thing but i'll give it a go..

Psycho killer: Fire -the solid nugs Pheno reeks of lemon the fluffy one reeks of bad feet/dirty trainers.. Both are good but the solid pk's that bit danker.

Romulan diesel:Average/weak.. smells fruity..no diesel aromas or tastes..I dont rate this bud as it leaves a funny after taste and its all body stone,which isnt the strongest anyway..i wont be growing this again..looks good though.

Engineers Dream: This has been the star of the class .. Fire no lava rocks .. Proper dank bud ..has hazy/ak47/ type of taste ..highly recomend it..buzz lasts for a while..

Skunk#1: Nice.body bud .. smoked it till it was out .. 90's type of skunk .. hard nugs.. worth growing sometime again..trichy buds

DPQ: Highly rated by friends . i liked it alot still but it had others trippin out..requested the most next to the ed.. daytime smoke for me ..Rainbow colours

Sour D: Nice /above average .. has a strong diesel taste.. smaller nugs than others ..worthy of another run in the future.. not the best yeilder..maybe hydro?

Lmx1#1&2- Both -below average, the black one has slight cheese taste and high..the other abit more gbud tasting but weaker.. these cuts wont be carried on..

Mystry plant: Nice- good weed type of buzz..smell like lavender/spice.. day time smoke ..Gets rid of groggyness of other buds..

I must say they do seem to have some fire strains at BB , i dont think anybody will be dissapointed in the Ed .. well not with the strains i've grown anyway i cant speak for the others untill i personally grow them them out.. The dog kush i've grown isn't whats available at the mo as i believe it was worked on furthe before it went out..

the rom d: isn't that bad after all , had a couple of that the other day and i was alot better after cure..

my rom smells nasty in a bad way lol, bit like the smell of raw meat slightly ripe lol, gets ya stoned ok but hasnt got much going or it.

These are roughly 2-3 weeks in ,theres afew just added a few days ago these ones will probably only get 1wk proper veg time. Those are in coco.
All tje sages were in hydro to start but one suffered abit as i had the water level to high it got root rot/stem rot or some thing.. i took it out bathed it in microbial and then put it in coco which has some trich... in there. its looking better after 2days..

The Lmx2 that started out in soil is looking the worst, not using all mix for seedlings again or cuts.. the other that went into the hydro is huge but i think its a male so i've moved it into a coco pot too -which will be easier to work with if it is.I might bin it or i might try and collect a bit of [pollen ..

Popped a load of beans too.. some bodhi-sunshine daydream ,gooey- you want this, mini420-crystal urk and cheese x unknown.. All these are up and standing and will be popped in to coco cups/tubs tomorrow.. Going to grow these up -sex them -take cuts -grow out the cuts instead of growing these straight from seed..

Week 1 flower

Things are taken shape now, i few things have been changed around plus a few plants a have been removed. The sage and another were'nt doing to good so they had to go.
The Jack herer is getting bigger than i expected ,its got some long arms on it looks like this could of done with a very short veg. The two sages that are left are very different ones got thick leaves ,closer spaced internodes and the others got more smaller leaves and more spaced out nodes this one smells a lot stronger at the moment but i prefer the structure of the first one though.

I have one ? cheese ,2x cheese and 1 mystery plant in the hydro there all doing good , they don't even look like i took cuts off them . The soil/coco mix plants are doing ok ,#1 C-99 has the best structure out of the 3 ,they're all pretty similar in hieght though and scent at the moment. The pk x heri's doing better its was topped so thats why it seemed a bit slow before but its taking off now.. And the Lmx2#2 is defo male -the larger of the two i'll be removing it before it blows any pollen. At the moment im trying to find a home for it but i've had some bad set backs this yr so its not looking possible, at the best i'll collect pollen.

2 weeks flower(almost 3)

All the hydros are looking good at the moment , most are drinking heavly except the mystry plant which doesnt seem to have drunk much , im going to change the water on that one before i feed tomorrow but the rest will be getting topped up asual.
The males starting tp fill out a bit and has a nice aroma to it not the same as the female Lmx2 which is starting to smell cheesey which is more than i can say for the no scent lmx1's . I just wish i'd chose the right one to go into the dwc at the start as this would of been huge by now-just remember that it got put in soil as seed so it went into the pot the other went started in coco so it went into the bubbler coco all the way now..

The sat dom Sage is reeking of spices now its putting the other one too shame ,im hoping the other makes up in yeild cause i think this sat dom one is the keeper.. Im going to hit this one with some pollen from the male Lmx2 along with the lower buds of the lmx2 fem and the cheese . The Pollen chucking begins.. or you could say amateur breeding .. which ever fits im good ..
Going to try and work with all good males that come through on the next batch too, the crystal urks(from i get permission as it says tester pack but i got them with a paid order as freebies ) The cheese X unknown ,the sunshine daydream and maybe the gooey "you want this" not sure about these as there a mix pack and could be any of these 4 gooey breeder strains-Pure gooey-Zinn-Lava or Double death. I have enough seeds of these to bin these males anyhow all the others will be used to make more own seed stock F2's and maybe added to the Lmx2 . pics:Male lmx2

i have the cutts in water waiting for some more balls to burst.. i did a few trips with the cotton bud aswell but thought i'll try it with the tweezers, not as most would do it but if it works then so be it .. still collecting pollen aswell incase it don't..
still reading up and all the aspects of breeding/crossing/cubing a strain. I cant get enough of it..

Starting to understand a little bit more politics in breeding the more i read .. so many remade strains under new names ..other peoples f2's labelled as there own.. it just amazes me how shady the seed business is just from a few googles searchs and forum hoping im left wondering how many reputable breeders they really are .. are lot of these "hero's" seem to be tainted in some form..
just my observation from stuff i've seen post and reading between the lines of breeders conversations..

Anyway back to the research libary...

The breeding game is definitely a little shady and there are very few true breeders who create something new and stable these days. Though, as long as canna growers keeping buying into the marketing machine that is the 'breeding game' and continue to buy unstable, hyped-up, pollen-chucked F1 hybrids, don't expect anything to change anytime soon. You're doing it right my man. Breeding your own can yield unbelievable quality.

Cool Sfguy.. im not sure i can answer that question im still learning about everything that goes into breeding and actually creating a strain, generations and selections, origins and hybrids ,and along with that any background on breeders history and personal business. I'm not trying to tell anyone who's got the best and worst strains im just trying to get info to help me get a better understanding.

Maybe in a year or two i could try and answer that question..

You hit it right there HB.. Not trying knock anybody but its funny what people will do for a name i've heard stupid cash exhange hands for "elite" cuts and seeds , i've been sucked into the mist myself its very easy to get carried away it can almost turn into an addiction for some.. i've collected i got about 300+ seeds of 40 or so different strains , some strains i've smoked/grown and wanted to try again ,others were recomended/given to me by friends and some just cause they sounded like fire. I still buy seeds don't get me wrong but i less influenced by the names and breeders and more whats in the make up.
As you say i can't see it changing for now..

Anyway.. the sites that got dusted are looking shrivelled already so it looks like they've taken some pollen,i might dust them same sites again when the rest of the pollen drops .I turned back on the fans after i sprayed them down with water the temps only went to 28.c with no extration at all thats how cold it is right now. I'll take more pics tomorrow and update..

wow this is some next level stuff man. Only on my first grow with 4 plants under CFL's here. This thread is like space age. Great grow man. I'm looking to grow Barney's Blue Cheese next grow so great to see it develop although my conditions might be a bit more cramped!

Thanks man but i wouldn't call this space age though , i haven't did a full grow with cfls but they have uses for small spaces . I use 125 watt cfl ,and 200 watt cfls for vegging cuttings/and additional lighting sometimes through out the grow .

Well looks like its taken as the shrivelling started on all of them .. glad i used ties aswell as labels as the labels fell off already. Collected some more pollen aswell,checking the best storage method.



The fat leafs of the sage that wasn't used , this one has no smell at all but looks like it i'll yield well , leaves are huge on this not sure i've seen bigger (maybe ak4 .

Nothing major to report.. everythings ticking along..
For anybody looking to buy the SAGE .. when you want to be looking for the pheno #2 .. No#1 i dont think will have anything on #2.. Its like the skinner one had to be the dankest..

I've moved them about a little -jh is now behind the ?blue cheese and the Sage #2 is behind no#1 ..

Sages is pukka bud ,its taste stays with you... We used to get it alot couple yrs back around the time you could get proper blueberry and Ak , as soon as you smell the Pheno#1 you know its the one ,its not the highest -no knock out bud but still you'll remember it.
But saying that TH seeds have made there version of it so i dont even know if i smoked the orginal or this one only time will tell i guess.
