checking for harvest time

When checking trichomes for harvest, where is the best place to pull a sample from the plant? Any ideas on this?

do you have a microscope? thats the best way to tell when they're done. but when i pull some off prematurely i always take the lowest buds.

Yes I have a microscope, just wondering where is the best place to take a sample from or does it even matter.

take from wherever you want. maybe take the furthest bud along? maybe start from the top cola before its finished and ruin your yeild? maybe take the bottom that probably won't get huge? its your plant...
