So this is my first grow attempt. I was just wondering if my setup looks legit at all.
Right now i am using one GE energy smart 100W CFL bulb which gives off 1750 lumens. The plant is an unknown strain unfortunately; i got the seeds from a friend. I also have a fan blowing on the plant/ light to control temperature and allow strong root growth.
I started my grow as a outdoor about a month ago. After the month i figured it was time to start indoor. Here are some pictures of my setup.

First grow room looks like mine blankets and all but everybody is going to tell you that you need more lights if you think you can build i got link for 2 for 79dollars of course you got to put them together

So that seedling is a month old?

Put the light closer to the plant, damn near on it. CFLs are not the most powerful and at a distance they are worthless. Get 1 to 2 more CFLs in there.

Go to the dollar store and buy cheap mylar, they sell it in the section for party goods. Shiny silver plastic sheets to stuff bags with.

Use PVC and build a decent frame, your going to need a good deal of space to grow a plant, you could do a micro grow and keep it about 4 ft high. Cover the PVC plumbing frame in pond liner and make a door that overlaps. Line the inside with the mylar.

Cut a small hole in the back near the bottom and another directly on top for ventilation. Get a phone charger and cut the wire and connect the two wires to a PC fan. Put the fan on the hole in the top and it will exhaust the air. Consider building a light trap (light cannot go around two 90* bends).

What soil and nutrients are you using?

hold on a 100w cfl giving off only 1750 lumens.. my 26w give off that much, like DSB65 said ur going to need more light, the sun gives off about 10000 lumens per square foot, your light gives off 1750.. do the math you need alot more, i have 5 26w lights running at 1750 lumens each (i had 7 but 1 burnt out and 1 broke) so once i go back to the store and get more lights ill have 12250 lumens in there for a 26x19'x36' space and im still concerned about how much light i have. Your going to hear this from everyone unless the point starts showing

First off, he is talking about the same bulb you have 100W Equivalent = 26W actual.

Second off, lumens do not add up. You get a better spread of light is all. Better spread equals more penetration.

also what dub said is important too, make sure your tent has ventilation to the outside air. your plants will sufficate if they dont have enough co2 in the air and the heat from the lights can get pretty warm and fuck up the tents temp and make it too high for ur plant, and obviously exhaust pushs hot air out and intake pulls cool air in to control temps and also humidity

i know it doesnt add up, but its just an easier way for me to estimate how much light im going to need for the size constraint

well its technically a 26 watt but the package for the bulb says its equal to 100 watts. but your right, i do need more light... and i lowered my lamp like 6 inches down for more focused light.

I am using "Sta Green potting mix" for my soil. i was recommended to use that. Also you add a good point about making a new grow area. Once my plant gets bigger ill definitely need to get a larger space for it. the PVC idea sounds great!

the 2700 is probably what he has, soft whites the most common spectrum in stores that i see, its important that he knows that information but why not just cover the basic needs of the plant and how to keep it alive before we start with extra growth performance things.. cant speed up the growth and yield on a dead plant

I'm betting he/she has a 6700k bulb. Looks like daylight spectrum to me. Those work great for veg, I recommend 2 daylight bulbs and 1 warm white bulb for one plant in veg. Try and locate them around the plant and above it not just in a cluster all together. You have the right idea with the room fan in there, keep it blowing lightly on the plant, this will give it more girth.

Good luck!

Look up LST technique, it will help you to grow/flower in the smallest space.

Here are my month old seedlings under 6 CFLs in coco with organic nutes. Your plant resembles the one on the right in the back. I'm treating it with hygrozyme and root juice right now because I damaged the root ball when I transplanted.

These are plants the same age under a 600W HPS with light LST in larger bags mixed with perlite/coco 50/50.
