This is my first time growing bud, and I decided to build this computer. For right now I am just growing a bag seed. I planted the seed on 06/08/12 and it is doing great. Please look at my pics and tell me what I can do to improve. I'm also going to try some LST for the first time to limit to height of my plant. I'm not sure if it is a female.
There is a little list of what I'm using:
- DELL Computer case:height 16 inches, W:7 inches, Length: 17 inches
- Powerful computer fan
- 1xCFL equivalent to 100W, and 1xLED equivalent to 60W
- Advance white reflecting sheet that I got at the hydroponic store
- Growing in soil, but just received two autoflowering strains and I am ready to build an hydroponic pc.IMG128.jpgIMG129.jpg

Those first two leaves are dying, I think it is because it is not getting enough light due to the other leaves grown on top. Please give me your advises on that.

Need more light. You can try to find a CFL tube that fits across the top. Lighting is difficult with pc boxes.

My guess would be to use something reflective so the plant gets light from all angles. Not something that would burn holes in it though.

If the case is large enough, T5 have a better lumen/watt efficacy than CFL. I'd certainly recommend those. But a larger CFL may do some good (unless you are having problems with heat).

What have you done to increase the reflectivity of the inside of the case? You don't need Mylar or [black-and-white animal] film. Just spray-mounting some "bright white" Xerox paper (not glossy; just 96% white inkjet paper) to the inside would help. Adding a few bits of 1/4" Foamcore as a reflector for the bulb may also help to direct the light (remember the inverse square rule; the less distance that light has to travel to reach the plant, the more intense it will be).

i think its a cool ass little set up man, i would add a bit more light and an exit for the air so it dosent get too hot with the added lights. maybe 4 more cfls or find a t5 that would fit and your all set man. props on that cool set up man.

I have this white reflective surface that i bought at the hydroponic store covering every angles. But im looking to throw an extra 12" slim t5 to give the whole plant light. Ill post pics when i get that.
