I tried the gnatrol in my dwc and aero
and it was a disaster.

gnatrol is for soil only.

The only way to deal with gnats is prevention.

Spider mites were early in the grow,
and so I used Bed Lice spray to wipe out the eggs.

Then I sprayed the room
with OrthO Home Defense

Now I spray Home Defense before every grow.
and use the sticky traps to prevent gnats.

I am going to do a better job of sealing the rez,
and then use neopreme covers
around the stem
to seal the net pots.

I'm going to use a lot more sticky traps next time.

I get them on ebay.
they are kind of expensive,
but they are double sided.

Thank God I haven't had any pests in my aero system yet. One of the main reasons I switched to hydro is all the pest problems I had with soil.

hey.. i was wondering how far away your plants are spaced on the astro setup? Also, it looks like they use 4 inch pvc pipes. If so, have you had any problems with not having enough space for roots? I've already bought 4 inch pipes but wondering if I should even attempt a grow using them as I can't take them back cause I already cut them. Thanks!

That little black tubing leaks. I finally got so tired of cleaning up water I came up with my own system.

Not to mention my system costs a tenth of the price.
