oh, haha my bad. guess when I was just jamming through the pages, I didn't read that you moved it.

but I put my ladies in their holes two days ago. when should I first feed them with my BMO ferts? and I want to top them too so they're more bushy than "treey" lol so how long should I wait since I just put them in?

wait two weeks before you top, start feeding a few days after there is new growth where you topped, or you could use the FIM technique (better I would say for what your goal is)

really? why would you choose FIMming over topping in my instance? jw because I'm having a tough time just distinguishing the two, and even a harder time deciding which one to do. I get topping, and I think I get Fimming, just don't know which one's benefits outweigh the other

personally.... I don't top or FIM anymore..... but if I were to, I would FIM, it would produce more tops.
but you could always just top again after the new growth grows a bit from where you originally topped yea? & Fimming just eliminates that waiting to top again by giving more shoots initially?

lol sorry for all the questions, but why do you do prefer to do neither anymore?

I don't want to hinder my plants growth/health what so ever. I want them to take advantage of all the grow time there is for them. Besides, these plants will give me plenty of fat cola's just off their branches, let alone their main cola's. :D . Im finding more and more that a little more of "it is what it is" goes a long way, :).
FIMing produces more flowering tops yes, and if you do it again as you were talking about it will again produce around double the flowering tops as if you were to top it twice and all the colas would be the same size, so you might as well FIM right? neither of my mothers were topped...... They were bottom trimmed, ;)

makes sense. i was planning on bottom trimming one of my gdp's cuz its lower branches are just too low to the ground and probably not getting the much needed air flow underneath. but i think i'll try a little bit of both. top a couple, fim a couple and probably just let a couple do their own thing. thanks TLD :eyesmoke:

do some research on the strains you have. Sensi Star and GDP both do well when topped as outdoor plants. And make sure you have a system in mind for supporting heavy budding branches in the fall, your going to NEED IT ;) ..... trust me.

I was going to use some bamboo stakes and hemp line to hold those bad boys up. still a long way from then tho so i'm not going to start counting my eggs(buds) yet :blsmoke:

Check all these containers my neighbors had in their recycling bin, score! got 10 or so 5 gallon containers. thought TLD might need a few so he can use his laundry basket for laundry again :bigjoint:
got my BMO ferts today! going to use the Super Plant Tonic on my girls tomorrow. then should I wait another week or two till I feed with the Grow Green veg fert?
also got an aquarium pump and airstone to start pumpin out my own teas! just waiting on my clones to harden off a little more before I take them out to their permanent homes to turn into monsters! fuckin beat from playing 18 holes of golf today so now it's time to medicate :bigjoint:

A buddy of mine hooked me up with 6 more clones yesterday! 3 afgoo and 3 "magic." magic is definitely one of the my favorite strains. google it for some pics if you've never seen it.
so first pic is my six new ones, and the 2nd and 3rd pictures are of the clones I picked up two weeks ago from the clubs. I filter the light through that piece of tinted glass that's actually a little table top to an outside wicker table but works great and doesn't stress my girls one bit.
think I'm going to do a second spot though to put these new clones at and then that way, if something happens to one spot, I still have the other. makes sense right?
I was going to start LSTing when I got them all in their holes and containers, but I was going to do a little FIMming to a couple plants, top a couple others, and LST some more and just see which method I and my girls prefer the most. how are you tying your's down tho Boomer? just doing string and ducktape? think that's how I'll do it

ya i actually just finished workin in the yard for a few hours while the babies harden off and soak up this 88degree sun.

i bought sum wire twist tie rope shit from the hydro store and made a lil hook on one end and put it on the node i want to bend over and used the painters tape i had to tape it down on the side of my conatiners. i did this instead or drilling holes cuz its easier to move around and adjust for me. scope the thread for mroe details. my links below. heres sum pix too
