Cheap cfl grow with pics

im vegging them under a 15wtt lumi and thats working great so far . even if my cat ate most of a plant lol, and when i start flowering the are going in a box with 6 100wt equiv cfls.

myself i wouldnt use tinfoil. good room good lights but the foil should go. it has to much heat and reflects light badly. better to use white and smooth. .looks alright so far though.

what 'color temperature' are your cfls? are they 'warm white' (2700k. Red spectrum. not ideal) or 'daylight' (6400k. Blue spectrum. ideal)?

Totaly agree there, nice little setup but is it possible to replace foil with mylar or matt white paint. it'll benefit alot more in the long run.

the bulbs are a mix of 2700k and 6400k the shop i went to only had a couple !
its 600watt total in there i think anyways.
can anyone suggest how long i should leave my fan on ? its on 24hr atm

Is that added up using the equivelent watts or actual watts.

Whats the temps in the box during lights on and lights off if not on 24hrs ?

Is it an old aquarium your growing in? Looks like it from the third pic, also looks like you have the foil on the outside of the glass? (assuming it is a glass case) I read glass eats light or sumthing so if you do get mylar, or stick with foil, put it on the inside of the glass. Flat white paper would probs be better than the foil your using atm. Looks good tho!!

yeh i knew about the glass thing its not actually in an aquarium its just the light resting on 2 boxes with foil stuck to the sides

nice lil setup man i have done this a few times and just started to do it again now with clf.

get maylar it so much better.

Looking good, and the mylar is definately a good idea fora reflective surface.. and if you are ever really on a budget
White computer paper, or just simply painting your walls white soak in the heat and reflect light great

go get an emergency blanket in the camping section at walmart cost like $1.50 - $2.00...This is what it looks like up on the wall...
