Changing to areoponics from soil help and tips please

ok so i have been growing now for over a year. i have bben useing soil since ive started but now im at the point where i need a change and i want bigger yeilds lol

i have just got a clone maker which i will start them off in as i was doing them in rockwool cubes and then i will when ready put them in there aeroponics pot...

i need to know the basics as im new but i have been reading upon it all.

ive got a 15min timer on off to set and want to know what is the best water on to water off times for the sprayer

will my yeilds be a lot bigger in areo compared to the same type of grow in soil

all help on this please

also when makeing clones do you leave the cloner on all the time spraying the roots or not?

How come? Isnt ot a lot easier in areo? Less bugs, bigger yeilds and faster? I just want to change as i want to see the outcome of it. Have you done both? And why do you prefer soil? Ive got a grow just finished now and go one baisicly ready for flowering

Started in soil, went to dro, now I'm back to stay. I've never done aero before though, any method will produce large yields, but organics and soil produce a better quality and a healthier smoke, but some people do prefer size of buds over quality. To each his own every style of grow has it's pros & cons.

i don't think you will get better yields, it will veg faster. If you are going aero get a cycle timer. I run mine for 15 to 30 sec on and 6 min off.

If you don't want to buy a cycle timer don't go aero.

Earl's guide is awesome, glad you pointed him that way.

In my experience, aero will not give you the biggest yields but will put out consistently dank buds,
I get my biggest hydro yields in RDWC or DWC. Aero is great for people who enjoy tinkering and
building toys. From low pressure basic aero systems to expensive high pressure systems there's all kinds
of methods to do it and it's really only limited to your creativity.

Timer is definitely necessary though if you want to have optimal success, the general 1 min on 4 min off
works really well, but it's also very dependent upon your method of feed. I've tried 15/15 timer and while
it works, it was over watering and leading to drooping and slowed growth.

Other than that just keep your dissolved oxygen levels up, ph/ppm in check, and your water temps cool
and you should be good to go.

What does the "R" mean in RDWC.

Ok i will do that. In my cloner do i need to do the same type of timer or can that be left on all the time?

You can use the same cycle timer for both. Look an ebay. They have some cheap ones. I would go with a CAP.
