so here is the deal i am running 2000 watts and since summer has come recently i am having a bit o heat issues. so what i want to do is change my light times to run at night instead of day (kinda cheat mother nature a bit and a hell of alot cheaper the a/c) so i am already on 12/12 so my choice is either keep a shedual and bump it back a couple hours at a time gradually over a couple of days or just run a long light or dark time and switch the timer i have had these guys for a long time now and have succeeded in keeping it hermie free and want to keep it that way anybody have exp with that? would be a huge help. :wall:

like i said on 12/12 already so that would be flower
I am having the exact same problem and thinking of switching to running at night myself. I will do the long night period if I switch to lights on after sun goes down. You definitely don't want to use longer then 12hr light period. Just to be safe and not set back flowering by promoting veg time again. I wouldn't think one day of 24hr dark in the flower period would harm them. That's just my newbie opinion though.

i recently did the same thing. Changed my light schedule 2 weeks into flowering, from 9am to 9pm to 2pm 2am and didn't see any signs of stress or hermies. This was 12 days ago and the plants look fine now. They were top 44 plants

That's tough I'm havin the same heat problems but never thought about movin the times back I think it would work u got all the light blocked out I'm assuming so I might even try that!
