nothing at all wrong with that. keep the same schedule of course and you'll rock it with better lights!

Not a stupid question... but you asked it 3 times.

There should be no problem switching sources. As long as it's suited of course. You may have to gradually add the light if it's a lot more intense though.

And no one likes when the forum is being flooding with the same question 3 times.

Ok here is what I'm doing. Over the last 5 weeks I've went from 10. 23 w cfl bulbs to 15 cfl bulbs. I purchased a vispar 600w with veg and bloom switches. The true wattage is lower than my cfl setup but I thought it would be an improvement. Question is........ WILL IT BE? I should be picking the light up today

Depends on the area/coverage with the one panel vs. a bunch of cfl's spread out. If it's not you'll have no problem running the panel + some cfl's as the heat will be much less with the panel. I once ran some cfl's supplementing some old LED's in a breeding tent and mixed up the spectrum, got a really nice run at 1/gpw in a SOG.

The specs say 276 true watts covering a 3x3 area , which is bigger than mine which is 3x2 compared to my 345 watts from my cfl fixture. Thoughts, before I auctually give this cat my money

Yeah you should be good, that's 46w/sq,. ft which is right around what you'll need from a blurple panel.

i plugged it in and removed the cfl fixture. It didn't look bright! It's a vispar spectra 600 reflector series w/veg and grow switches. I've looked for grow journals but couldn't find one where someone was using JUST one of these . I put the old fixture back up. Is it just that I'm expecting to see bright light but not? Which should I use iyo?

Yes it was used, still has warranty. All LEDs come on. I can't get pics of it till tomorrow evening. Like you said " blurple " I do not have a way to mix the 2 light sources right now. Bummed, thought for sure the LED was going to shower them girls in light

If you can handle the heat run a mix while you figure out next steps, mixed spectrum works well. I've never seen those diodes fade, have seen them burn out altogether but not fade. I have some of those Top LED (Mars) reflector series I use for veg. A couple have recently burned out diodes, I've run those for 4 years in veg 18/6 & 20/4 though so not bad, they were cheap to run.

Thanks for reading. I think it's just my expectations.... But I don't have long to mess with the girls before the house gets busy. I'm gonna try to figure out a mix.
I was hoping to use the LED for veg and flower
