Changes to Growth on Colloidal Silver Lady

Here is further development on the colloidal silver Black Russian female clone. I don't know what the plant is doing so I'm going with the flow and just watching. What I think is happening is there are the pollen bananas and some seed pods of 3-4 popping out of the top bud. The pictures are not good. Sorry about that. If you see something else - the spider mites are still going strong inspite of treatment.

So do you have another plant to pollinate with them nanners or are you going to save them?

Not really sure how to use the nanners and trying to let the plant do everything naturally so I don't ruin the process. There are three bonus female clones, untreated, same age and species just waiting for pollen. The treated plant has many buds on its own stalk that it can pollinate. Not sure how much time it will take and don't know how long it will take for seeds to mature. I think the seeds have to sit on the plant and mature. I leave for a couple of months and about all I can do is put them on the porch, set up automatic watering system, and hope they are alive when I return.

Never tried doing a selfie but it is my understanding that it will self pollinate as well as any other plants that are near but could be way wrong. The bananas should open up and be filled with pollen. If your looking to get just one plant to seed, you need to isolate it. If wanting to pollinate another plant that is not in the same room use a small brush to transfer pollen to a few buds. Going to follow this one as I'm planning on doing this in the near future with an outdoor grow to get winter seed stalk, good luck and keep us updated.

I sprayed 1 of each of my strains with cs. All 4 strains threw nanners and now beans. Unfortunately I don't have the room to separate them from the rest (they are all in my flower room) so I have crossed all 4 strains and have no idea what will be what. Next winter I will start popping beans and see what I got. I need to get in there and pluck nanners for future use.

If your planning on storing the pollen, again only what I've read, save just the pollen in a glass airtight container and add a desiccant package and place in freezer.

Please take it from what friends of mine went though and found out the hard way. Don't just place it in a glass jar cause moisture will set through onto the inside no matter how many desiccant packs you put in. They have learned to store pollen in a small pill bottle then surround it with uncooked rice inside a glass or jar container with tight lid, then store it in the freezer. :peace:

All of this is good to know. Should get college credits for practical botany. Thanks to all who made comments. Keeps the ball rolling and before you know it everyone is learning or teaching more and more. All 50 states will legalize it some day and at least we can say we been there and done that. I've got a thread on kief (not sure if it is considered hash) and it kept me almost helplessly stoned for a good 24 hours. Scrapped the green stuff off the inside of a one gallon 220 micro bubble bag (cheap one on Amazon at tinyurl.com/kdvkhp4) for a quesadilla and put some of the kief in mushroom soup I made for dinner. Now, I'm afraid to go near the soup again since it is laced with THC. Gotta get sober for a little while.

I have been using 30 PPM C.S. on my current grow, have been applying it when I first switched the lights to 12-12. It is supposed to stop the female bud from forming, and instead make male pollen sacks.
As I look at your photos, I see buds. When did you first begin to apply the CS? How often? (once per day?) .. and do you know the PPM of the silver you used?

Hi ProHuman. These were maybe the fourth cutting clones from a original plant grown from seed. The result was that it as old as the mother and began to show pre-flower almost during the cloning process. I did procrastinate and waited for the Tiresias Mist (TM) I ordered to get here so the buds kept developing. I used up one ounce of the TM, then switched to some colloidal silver (CS) nasal spray at 50 ppm and went through that. Meanwhile, my .999 silver arrived and I made CS with a variable DC power supply. I don't know what the ppm was that I created but went slow for overnight, maybe 18 hours at about 12v. I didn't count the days but must have sprayed for about a month. Just recently I noticed the changes, maybe two weeks ago a group of four seed-looking pods developed on the tip of the top bud. None of the other buds seem affected even though they were all sprayed. Are you doing the same thing? If this had been a regular female from seed I'm sure the CS would have turned her a lot faster. Also, this female was the strongest and biggest of the four. Frequency was once per day with the TM and then I read where people were spraying twice a day so I did that. I kind of gave up until these new shoots started popping out. You should have no problems.

Yes, I am doing the same thing. (kind of)
I am using store bought CS @ 30 ppm, and have been using a paint brush to apply it at the bud sites. I decided to apply it to a single branch of my best growing plants. It's been 2.5 weeks now, and found 2 were males, and I selected my best growing female to continue application, and cut the other branch off the remaining plant.

Now I will be continuing to paint my branch of my best girl, because I want her pollen, to breed with my 2nd best growing girl. I do not see pollen sacs yet, but it is a work in progress. You can find more details about it in my blog here:

I was planning to clip the branch, and put a hole in a paper bag. Run the branch through the hole, and into a cup of water outside of my grow room. The pollen should be collectable in the paper bag.
