I changed my light cycle on Nov. 5th but it didnt start to show anything until Nov. 26th. To harvest at 6-8 weeks do I go by the change of cycle or when it actually started to show?

The middle to the top of the plant has the orange redish hairs all over so I know I should harvest it soon and Ill leave the bottom to keep growing because those buds are behind.

go by when its ready, the 8 weeks is just a rough guide(to answer the question there-you go by when they started showing sex if not mature before flowering is started, if mature count from day 1 of 12/12, so in this case the 26th) what really matters is what the plant is telling you. How are the trichomes looking? those buds look great, rough guess 3 or 4 weeks left.

The trichomes are what are also referred to as crystals right? sorry this is my first actual serious growth since the last time which was about 6 years ago and I didn't take it as seriously as I am this time. But if I have that right there looking pretty good they're all over on the buds and on the leaves too and can clearly make them out with just the naked eye I think I've read that they change somehow but I dont remember what that article said though... thanks for the praise on the buds I'm really excited and can't wait to harvest, dry and cure them

i wouldnt really consider them crystals so to speak, but yes they are sometimes called that. Yes, trichomes do change and yes it is pretty important. this shows what you want to see. Go buy a microscope 30x-100x, they are cheap and will help you watch the progress.thats important for the first few grows especially.
