Cfl's to 400w HPS. Questions

Can u switch to hps while in flower using cfls, or will this cause to much stress, if any? And How far is the normal distance hps's have to be from the plant? Can u tell just by feeling the heat right above the plants? To see if its to hot on your hand. Or by distance? if distance how far away?

I have switched and they loved it!

Start off high and work the light closer... they will love you for it...!!!

A good rule of thumb is to use the back of your hand...

If it feels ok foe the back of your hand, it is ok for the plants... but do let your hand sit there for a bit...

You got it... Just use your hand... warm is ok, hot is not...

I keep my 600 watt HPS about 8 to 10 inches away, but I so have in a cooltube...

usually about 12 inches without harming them, start at 20 or 18 and work ya way down.

Can i still make the switch 33 days into flower? Without problems? I really want to get a 400w HPS like TODAY! Cause it sounds/looks like youll get HUGE yield and colas. Check out my current grow and let me know please. Thanks Guys
