Cfl yield per plant? whats everybody getting these days

I figured id revive the typical ice age question that has been asked a million times in the past as im trying this method.

But what are some of the totals per plant dryed everyone has been getting

I find it interesting to see if the setups are paying for them selfs and quality is achieved

Just harvested this one tonight. Seven plants total under 300w of CFLs (now under 400w... :hump:)





I let her dry out for almost 5 days before cutting her, so not sure exactly how much she will lose... but I'm guesstimating between 14-18g dried off this one plant. Six more to chop soon after that. If all goes right, I'm looking at around 1/3g per watt off my very first grow.

This one plant alone has payed for this entire runs costs with the low set-up costs of the CFLs...

And I think quality was achieved for my first go at it...

She will lose 75% of that wet weight so 25% of that will be bud. However could you tell us the strain?? type of medium used was it soil?? also the size of the pots or if any nutes were used or if any training was done such as lst topping supercropping.

Last run i did i did 2 plants under 386w of light most of it was cfl. one was an 80w t12 fixture i got around 2 oz dry maybe a hair more one pyle from what i remember was around 200g wet one kind was kush indica the other kind was a sativa looking type plant i super cropped it dident touch the indica let it grow natural

75% would be about 15g... I estimated 14-18g to be safe.

The strain is an Og Kush I have been growing outdoors for a few years that I brought to SoCal with me when I moved to the Mojave.

Medium is lightly amended Happy Frog in 2 gallon grow bags.

Plants were topped once after 6 nodes to take some good sized 3 node clones since I was just re-starting and needed to get a momma bush going quickly. I didn't know if any would be a male, so I took the top off of all of them. All seven turned out female, so I have a momma bush now from my best plant, and 6 clones already 2 weeks into flower to take the place of these as they come down.

I pinched the two main stalks once after topping to keep heights lower and have an even canopy because I keep my lights horizontal across the top and don't use any lights at all around the sides/underneath. The top colas get copious amount of lighting, and the second buds down are thick and full, but after about the 3rd bud down the branches it starts getting pretty airy and crappy so i just cut off the very tops of the plants and use the little stuff at the bottom for hash/butter or if its a decent little nug I air dry em for a day and vape 'em.

How long did you have to let your plants veg to get an ounce per plant off of them?

This was my first indoor run so I had no idea what to expect. If I can pull a 1/2 ounce from each plant I am looking at almost a QP altogether off of all seven plants... and that would make me waaay more than happy for this first run.

How much power did you have on those girls if I might ask and what did you have to do to get a monster like that also where did you get those flexable looking socket adapters those interest me for some reason.

Also op your bud was not dry im not trying to slander or anything give advice but when I say this your weed was wet still and might mold your weight is still wet weight I can guarantee it I would take it out of the jar and atleast put it in a paper bag before you find out the hard way.

What I tend to do the day before the chop is leave the lights off and have total darkness for 24 hours what this does is allow all the sugars and left over nutes and stuff leech back into the stock then after the chop is done trim fairly well then hang the whole plant or cut off into branches upside down to dry for 4 days in darkness then paper bag for 2 then jar it.

I should mention that after about the 3rd day of hanging I give a final trim as the hairs at this time have started to tighten up and close in and the sucker leaf that's left will be kinda curled yet far enough away from the hairs to trim decent and make your nugs pretty

Also note that weed takes about a good week of drying to really be smokeble i have seen a bud smoked at just 4 days but its not likely even with just a quarter oz plant.

And my veg time was 2 months and 2 months flower

I am assuming you are talking to me, and yes, I specifically said in my post that it was the wet weight, lol.

As for jarring it too quickly, the buds all mainly weighed less than 2g each, and dried reeeeally quickly on the small branches. It only took 36 hours to get a snap from the branches.

After 12 hours in the jars, they sweat back out a little and went into a bag for another 8 hours...

Now they've been in the jars without needing much more than a breath and a shuffle. Looks pretty decent to me.

well not too bad then free bud is bud the best bud is your own . im kinda wondering how that other guy got a half p like how many lights did he need to pull that off and such

good seeds and good nutes i guess, i had a mix of 23 and 27 watt cfl bulbs, i think there were 12 and 2 18" side tubes, 14 watts, the flex extensions i got on ebay. i veg 4 to 5 weeks.

Hey All,

My last plant yielded just under four ounces dried. A Northern Light Automatic grown in soil under 115 watts of multi spectrum CFL'S (3000K and 6500k ). Two additional 3000k 23 watt CFL'S on the sides(using adjustable light extenders ). I fed half strength after every second watering. I love automatics now. You can find short strains that produce large yields. I got a shit load of photo bean's, but for the winter I think I will concentrate on automatics.
