Ive got two 100 watt cfl bulbs and am trying to grow jus one plant but heat is becoming an issue. Its a closet grow with temperature with one bulb at 84*F, but at high 90 - 95F with both bulbs. Is one bulb enough to have a quality grow for one plant or is the higher temp with two bulbs better.

Get a fan, and have it blowing directly on the lights. Always have a fan in your room to blow away the heat, and to also streghthen the plants stems.

No...1 light is not suffecient to grow a plant...you will need at least 5 per plant...1-2 per plant for the first week or 2, but then you will need more...look at my gallery and you will see 1 plant growning with 7 cfl's.

ive got a fan blowing on the plant and a fan set up for ventallation but it just vents it out of the grow box to the top of the closet so it still stays hot as fuck

IS it a 100 actual wattage or the same as a 100 watt incandescent(?)? I have a 200 true, 2 65's ,4 42's,a few 26's and one or two 13's, and i only use a small fan that blows directly on them. Dollar general has little desk fans you could put up with even duct tape for maybe 3 dollars.

yes they are 100 watt , 420 watt incandescent, 6900 lumens, during the day i leave my window and closet door open to get fresh air and have less heat and it stays around 80 - 83 but when i close the door at night it gets up too 100 or over. I have a small 2x1x5 box in the closet setup up with a fan inside to osilate and another bringing ventilation from the top out except it just vents out to the top of the closet, so at night when the closet is closed it just heats up like a mother fucker. Any ideas? For a quick fix i have been putting ice packs in there as an attempt to lower temps
