Im looking for the cheapest most efficent way to veg my plants with cfls.. Im looking to veg up to about 24 plants at 1 time. If anyone could suggest bulbs, etc and where I could purchase I would appreciate it. Also if anyone has pictures of their own setup that would be great.

To me that seems like alot of plants to veg with CFL's. You are gonna need a bunch of bulbs. Plus with the higher wattage CFL's heat comes into play, they will burn your plants. So unless you plan to stand around and watch them veg you would need some kinda rocket science idea for the lights to move with plant growth on there own.

My opinion (for what it is worth) you need to be shopping for HID lights. The cost of the CFL's needed to do that would exceed your HID price.
Also check out T5 tube fluoro's. You can get them in 4 or 8 foot lenghts I believe. They may be a little cheaper than an MH setup but I do not think it would be enough to pass up the results a HID setup can provide.

emc, what your saying makes sense. right now im veggin 18/6 with a 600w HPS and i was just hoping to use something lighter for veg. actually ive been considering like either two t5 or two t8s in a fixture.. heard that works pretty well..

I used T12's. Floro-tubes work really well for vegging. They're totally cool to the touch and the plants can touch them all day with no burning. This allows for excellent proximity and promotes dense nodes (close together). This works for about 4-6 weeks and then the plants need more light (side lighting etc.). And they are dirt cheap. I get two bulb fixtures for 10$ and the bulbs are only 2-5$.
