Just wantd to start a little conversation about my potential next "project" i got sum fresh new beans im bout ready to pop n i was wondering what u guys thought about using more low-wattage cfls vs. using less high-wattage cfls... i used 6 23 watters last time but might go with sum 42 watters maybe 4 or get crazzzzzzy n go with 5 haha weigh in with an opinion !!

best lumen per watt ratio are the 23-26 watters...the 42's are not as efficient, but still better than the 23's for growing :)

i'm told the 100 w equivalent are the most efficient, but i mix 60W equiv. in with them, to no ill effect. 100W per plant.......one way or another

i liked the lower wattage 1's because i could get more light to different areas i got 18 gs dried n cured last time outta 138 actual watts

The main problem with CFL is the short life span at the rated brightness. They all seem to have a rather steep curve of loosing their brightness VS time.

Hi ANC, LOVE the avatar by the way :) How long would we say an average cfl will provide beneficial spectrum?
