CFL Lighting Question

Ok I was wondering how many plants i can get under the sog method with 4- 42 watt cfls (150 Equiv. Each).......If you cant answer the sog question how many full plants do you think i can get under those lights? Thanks.....

so 8 max wow i was reading something that said more than that but i must of misunderstood.....anyone else have an opinion?

Ok I guess that sounds good just to give you a little info what I'm tryin to do is build an extra grow box with the4 150 watt cfls (600 watts) and fit as many plants in there as close as possible just forthesog method....and see how well they come out....

When it comes to CFL's, you count the actual watts, not the equivelant. It isn't really the watts that matter though - it's the lumens. You want a bare minimum of 3000 lumens per square foot for growing, 5000+ per square foot recommended.:leaf:

My opinion is that 8 is too high. Unless you want light airy buds, you need to pour on the watts with cfls and keep them close to the foliage. I use 400w actual of T5s and cfls on the sides for 3-4 med sized plants. 4 42s will veg a bunch ok, but not flower them well.
