CFL light penetration on the bigger bulbs.... 100w and up

I have a 250w CFL not an equivalent...the actual bulb is 250w...it is really bright, but still can't even really compare with my 400w HID light...So, to tell ya the truth if you can manage just a little more money and get a digital ballast with MH and HPS bulbs I can promise you will be happier with the results.

I paid like $70 for my 250w CFL and reflector...and a few months later I paid like $100 for a MH/HPS set up, so I could have saved myself some money...I still use the CFl for clones and extra veg time and what not...but it is definitely not what I flower with.

I think ive pretty much come to that conclusion as well. Im sure ill get a digital and maybe order a 250w bulb as well so if the temps get way hot with the cool tube 400 i can switch it out, or do you think thatll be an issue with a 4" fan and carbon scrubber with a cool tube?

The temps run good now, and i had 2 or 3 more 26w cfl on the lower part, it brought temp up 6-7 degrees, it was a little hot in the box then but not to bad. I took them out bc i didnt see much difference and i got tired of trying to postion without burning them
