CFL Indoor Light Question...help?

Okay, so I'm new to growing indoors with CFLs'
I have a 15watt CFL light, produces 580 lumens..
I'm wondering if this small amount will be good for a small plant..
Like, one thats yet to grow out of seedling stage..?
Oh, and how close can I put it to the plant?

even if you put it a 1/4 inch away its not enough light. ideally you want 7000-10000 lumens

so i can't even grow a seedling with 580lumens?

for now imo i say no. i would get at least 3 or 4 42watt cfl mixed specturm from home depot if you have one. use them all the way through. you plan on growing just that one?? you using soil?

i would get the daylight 6500k spectrum for veg stage than get an hps for flowering
or you v=could just go for the 2700k cfls

i would def reccomend the hps

if its your first grow getchu a couple more cfls itll get u through
