CFL help for veg room

Ok my desire is to get a SoG going with a bunch of 3' tall hydro plants.
i have a 400w HPS now. So my questions are... How many CFL's do i need for 1 mother and 12 clones? Also, how many Cfls does it take to properly grow 1, small veg plant roughly 12-16 inches.

you could probably keep a mother alive with 2 42watt bulbs @6500 Kelvin. dont quote me on this, because i've not done it...but i've kept plenty of other plants alive and growing with far less CFL wattage.

you cant have too much. CFL's are great like that. through as many or as little as you want. i wouldnt go any less than two over your mother. give it a wack experiment. its the only way to learn.

as for the clones, a few fluorescent tubes should do the trick.

i have 8x 25watt DAYLIGHT CFLs.... is that good enough for clones/mother(s)?
