Cfl grow

Thanks bakatare666, 71bigcat, clayman187, theloadedgragon and newgrowr.

Growth seems a little stunted to me, but what do I know.

Humidity is @30% and climbing everyday as the leaves get bigger.

Temp is still at 70.6 day and 63.2 night. Probably a little low.

Was thinking of adding another light or 2 and an oscillating fan, may be too soon for the fan though. Any thoughts?

71bigcat when you go to transplant to a larger pot just raise the soil level to the bottom of the leaves to hide the stretch and the stem will turn to roots soon enough. You could even cover the first set of leaves with soil if it continues to stretch, but sounds like you won't need to.

So it is Saturday, and it is her 14th birthday. Congradulations little girl!

I seem to have counted wrong last time I posted, opps. (maybe I was high, not sure)

I have a few concerns. First being she seems to be very short almost stunted(her third set of leaves were coming in right ontop of the first 2 sets of leaves actually all the leaves seem to be withing a 1/4 inch of each other), second is when to transplant to a larger pot(do I wait for the roots to show at the bottom, whats my que here)? and last but not least, when do I start with the nutrients? If there is a link relating to when to start I have not noticed it yet, a link or directions to it would be appreciated, thanks.

Some pics taken a few minutes ago.

Dense growth is usually desirable.

Im curious about your watering though... had you just watered? Or do you keep watering it every couple of days? The soil should feel fairly dry when you stick your finger in up to second knuckle... before watering.

It doesnt look to me as though the plant has filled its pot with roots yet, overwatering will prevent root growth. I usually start at 1/4 micro and veg after first transplant due to root growth.

I planted seeds on 1/25, and it looks like my plants are just a couple days behind where yours is at. I was going to transplant last night (yes there are even a few roots poking out the bottoms), but I didnt, I want to wait until the pots are filled out some more. When I do transplant, I will give them a little root stimulator, and then start with veg nutrients after that if I "feel" the plants need it ;)

Yes I did water yesterday, it was the first time watering since I planted her, the top was dry but you could feel by the weight there was still some moisture in the mix. BTW not sure you can see it in the pic but I did try to FIM, but I think I FIGI'd(Fuck I Got It) instead, time will tell. So roots at the bottom would be a sign its time to transplant or the plant filling out the top of the pot or both? And I will watch for nutrient defiencies for starting nutrients.
Thanks

You dont necessarily want to wait until there are deficiencies by any means. Plant mass grows in relation to root mass. As the plant fills the horizontal and vertical space above ground so it does below, I would start feeding it just prior to it being of the same volume of the pot itself, or transplant then, and start nutes at 1/4 strength. I wouldnt FIM or Top the plant until after the 2nd or on the 5th nodes.... if you pinched/cut it, then its going to be a lil stunted and redistribute its energy to grow in a different way, that takes a few days and it should return to growing a regular rate (probably around the next time your pot dries out, which will be sooner this time).

Mine are about the same size... https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/614756-theloadeddragon-here.html

Here is my la woman! Been on 18/6 for almost a week now and she is loving it thanks for the tip! Gonna start flowering my other plants soon so my la woman is basically gonna be a 12/12 from seed grow. I know its not ideal but don't have a separate veg area. if I like the bud I'll buy more seeds. I got it as a freebie so I'm not tripping on it really.

Hey Bigcat I went through your journal and got current on your grow nice job man.

So I took the plant to a friends house due to paranoia and a few days later got a job, I wasn't able to get there as often as I would have liked to and the L.A. Woman ended up dying.

Been busy at work, but believe I will have time now to be active again.
