Okay, today was the day that I wanted to transplant my babies, but the soil is still to moist, so I need to wait until the morning or on monday. I also picked up an organic soil with no additives other than peralite. This should help with the burning. I also picked up another 2 more 26 watt daylight 6500k cfls for a total of 10 just for veg, the more the better right? In about a week my wife should be sending me my 400 wat hps/mh lighting system. The only problem I can think of when I get my lighting is the heat, I am growing in a 2 1/2 by 3 foot closet. I do have an oscillating fan, but no exuast. I will keep you posted. Other than that the plants are looking great and stronger and more new growth every da. Stay posted new pics in the morning.

thats good with the soil very good
and the lights more the better is right :0)
with 10 cfl's u want need that hps light untol flowering
and at that time to help with the heat just use a couple lights around the sides of the plant with cfl's not all 10 of them with the hps light and u could have the fan aiming at the light or u could even get another fan to help cool or exuast things a bit
ow an di like moisture when i transplant when i put fresh oil in the new bigger pot i always put water in it and mix around so i know everything is moist it looks a little muddy and i mix well and then i see how far the plant will sit to the top of the pot and keep adding if i have to, to desired hieght.i transplant my plants when the soil is pritty dry so it stays together good and the moisture in the new soil i put helps water them like this.then when u set placeing it put fresh soil around the old soil and some on top and water so the old soil gets water too and thats it.alot of time plants get some shock from transplanting but after a day or so they will recover from it all and be fine.
so like im trying to say u really dont need to wait to transplant cuase of the moisture
u could do it now

I do want to transplant them asap, I know what you mean, but the soil is stil very damp, and I don't want the soil to fall apart as I try to transfer them. I want the soil to more crusted over, so everything stays in place, you know what I mean. Also, once my wife sends the lights (tommarrow) I will be doing away with the cfls, becuase I also have a 400 watt m/h conversion bulb which is way better than the cfls. Then for flowering I will use my hps agrosun bulb. The heat issue should be fine, I have been thinking about just buying another tabletop fan and mounting it at the top of the door, but inside you blow the heat out, and my other fan placed outside on the floor blowing in fresh air. We will see what happens when I get my lights. I really didn't want to send them her since I should be going home in about 2 and a half months. So once the plants hit 8" I'm switching to 12/12.

Thanks for the advice again bro:leaf:

that's interesting about the moist soil. I do the opposite when i transplant, i add water and press the soil a little to make it into a solid piece to prevent it from falling apart. Just my two cents, good luck!

I wouldn't want to transplant while the soil is moist and press it, because the roots are very important and fragile, it's already bad they are going to go into shock and then have crushed roots even worse.:leaf:

good luck guy :0)
an di dont like to compact my soil either cuase them it makes it hrder for the roots to move around in and its more compact makes for worse drainage too

Allright people, check it out. I bought some soil, but decided not to use it. I just ordered some fox farm organic forest potting soil. This place sucks (North Carolina) the closest hydro shop is 1 1/2 hours away, back in Tucson theres 8 WTF. So, I still have not transplanted, i am going to wait until I get the soil and my lights. I also taped up the cups to cover the roots from the lights. Also, check out the awsome growth...... i got a little burning from the cfls being to close on the first true leaves.

Wut peeps, kinda losin track here. I believe it's day 10 for some of my plants, like the bigger ones, but here we go. I still have not recieved my lights, nor my soil man. I really want to transplant these babies so bad, but I can't yet . Thanks to Sunhydroshop in New York. I should be getting my lights from my wife this weekend, she still has not sent them, but she will ship prioity mail we will see how that goes. Well just wanted to show you peeps the progress, much hasen't changed, but alittle new growth in 2 days. i probably won't post new pics until I transplant them and have them setup under the mh/hps. I know this was supposed to be a cfl grow, but I can't help it becuase the growth is so slow com[ared to MH/ veg man. I have never grown with cfls, and I only use them for seeds. Well keep it coming, peace outs.
