CFL grow (1st grow) 3 plants

Here is my grow setup:

3 plants
1 is a bagseed from some mexican brick weed (the oldest plant about 1 week old)
2 are seeds found in a bag of kryptonite (Indica strain supposedly related to OG kush) from a local dispensary. . Not sure how these plants will turn out. It's exciting and a good learning experience tho. They are about 2 days old.

And I also have another sprout coming up from the last kryptonite seed.

Lighting right now is only 3 26 watt 6000k cfls (one on each plant)
I am planning on getting more cfl's in the future as the plants grow.

The soil I am using is Miracle Grow Organic... Its the only soil I got right now.
I will transplant later into a mixture of perlite and Miracle Grow later on.

I will be using Fox Farm Grow Big Nutrients during veg and then using Big Bloom when I start flowering.

Hoping for as many females as possible :-o

Any comments/tips or questions welcome

I will be updating with pics at least once a week.

I plan on transplanting them soon probably within the next couple of weeks into some 5 gallon buckets or something similar.

Update

I now have 4 plants growing 3 of them them the same.

Ive noticed the the oldest seedling (the Mexican seed) is starting to yellow and the leaves are curling downwards a bit. Im not sure what could be causing this. maybe overwatering or the ph level is fucked up because I've just been using tap water. I'm planning on buying some jugs of water regularly and probably a ph meter.

One of the smaller kryptonite seedlings has some droopy leaves but the others look good.

HEY BRO welcome to the site,The Mexican weed might be used to dryer conditions so may be this for the leaves, but the plant should pull through given a few days.
There are loads of people who could give you advice on the site,Just put my ladies into flower on the 7th oct, i too run under cfls, so you should see how your plants should be progressing if you wanted to...
I have subbed and will join you on your ride...
Good luck

looks a little heat stressed too... what kind of temps you running?
I'm not sure of the exact tempurature because I don't have a thermometer at the moment, but I make sure that when I put my hand right above the plants it's not hot enough to burn my hand. But it was pretty warm.

So I just moved the lights little farther away to be safe.

thanks for joinin. yea Ive noticed the party cups don't really have good water drainage so the soil stays wet for a while. I just poked a few more holes on the bottoms to help dry everything out a little better

Yeah the extra holes will help...My roots were actually getting root rot because the water wasn't draining good enough. You shouldn't run into that many problems in the party cups because its not that much soil.

But when you transplant your plan with the perlite is right on. The perlite will definitely help drainage. After I transplanted one of my plants to the soil/perlite mix I saw instant improvements.

I think I had the same issue. Are there any drain/air holes on the bottoms of those cups. If not, better get some pronto or they will die. I had the same issue on my grow. started with four and now 1 and a half (basically) because of my noob mistakes during the seedling stage.

it could just be deformed new growth..a few of my younger leaves are crinkled-looking and my plants are fine.

edit:o oops.you could just leave your tap water sit out in old milk gallons for like 24 hrs instead of buying water.

I decided to transplant.

I'm pretty sure the MG organic was too compacted and keeping them from growing so I transplanted all the plants into Scotts potting soil and added a little extra perlite.

I have been leaving the door open to the closet they are in. I think they needed some fresh air as well.

Still need to get a ph meter though.

Here are some pics they don't look too much different yet, except the oldest has a few new leaves growing.

I'm really hoping this helps. It's been too long and they are so small still.

Since the the transplant a week ago the plants have started improving. Except one didn't make it.
The oldest plant in the second pic is staying a little small but its growing.
The 2 remaining kryptonite plants are growing a little deformed not sure why but whatever.

I also planted a 2 more bag seeds that are doing very well, and they are about 4 days old.(last pic)

lookin good! i started my plants in party cups as well. they really work well! are you growing them regular or lst? Here goes a link to some really good flowering CFL's for cheap: http://www.1000bulbs.com/category/42-watt-cfl-compact-fluorescents/ .... these are the same bulbs im using on my girls (for flowering) and they love it. (im using 5 bulbs per plant)...
im deff. subd and +rep to a great start!!

ALSO!!!! Big Bloom will not get u through flowering. Big Bloom is a micro nutrient that you can use the entire grow (VEG & FLOWER) it has very little nutrient actually. bigbloom= 0.1-0.3-0.7.... u need to get some FF Tiger Bloom. That is the actual bloom nutrient. Tiger Bloom = 2-8-4...... so actuall u still need a bloom nutrient!

Ive been wanting to get some 42 watt bulbs

I was debating on if I should LST or not but I just checked out your grow and it has convinced me to do it. Your plant looks really good
So Ill probably LST at least 1 or two plants depending on how many females I get.

And that answers my question about the NPK amounts with the FF big bloom, I was wondering why they were so low. Ill def get some tiger bloom before flowering.

Theres been some changes recently.

Decided to start over and just keep the 2 newest plants in the party cups. The others had a slow start anyways and plus now I know I have enough space for these.

Here they are,
they are 2 weeks and about 2 days
just gave them there first feeding 2 days ago,
they look alot healthier than the original plants I started with.
