CFL Dresser Grow

I have converted my friend's old dresser into a grow box. Took apart the drawers and glued them back on except the 2nd and 4th drawers which will be used to access the plants and electrical stuff. Going to be using 2 hempy buckets grown under 2 23w CFLs 2700K and 2 27w CFLs 6500k. I finally got everything hooked up and flipped on the switch to turn my lights on. LIGHT LEAKS! Everywhere lol. It was a very shittily made dresser. Tomorrow I'll be going get caulk to fix the light leaks. I put a thermometer in one of my runoff catches (the white tubs) and it came out at 100 deg F. Lame, so looks like Ill be getting another fan or 2. Any better suggestions to control temp?

That's pretty sick, provided you take care of light leaks... light sure can be a bitch to tame! Heat might be an issue but try to vent it as much as you can, that little fan should be horizontally facing the lights, and should blow across the lights to cool them and the surrounding air. was it facing upward in that pic? can't remember...

It was facing downward. Planned to be blowing on the plants to strengthen the stem. But I'll be getting another fan tomorow probably the same size and I'll put one blowing across the lights and see how that affects the temp.

So I caulked the box, and added 2 more fans. Still had light leaks due to the way I access it from the front. So I hung a towel in front of those 2 openings and finished off my leakage. I'll lose some light reflection because I used a towel and not mylar or any other reflective stuff and covered my white paint, but security is more important than a little less grow time I think. Now my problem is temperature. My apartment is set up with hotel style air conditioning, with the unit in the front room, and my box goes in the back room (very small apt). So the temp in the room that the box is in is often very hot anyway. But Im sitting at like 96 degrees in there with everything running. I thought the 2 new fans would help, but it didnt.

Well I cut holes and made an intake at the top of the back and an exhaust at the bottom of the back. Stuck fans in front of them and it helped a bit with the temps. Down to about 90 now. Still not as good as I'd like but making progress.
