Dude. Bootywarrior. That IS the budding. Each new set of hairs represents another calyx that has opened and is now working on getting laid. If you don't let her lose her virginity then she will put all of her efforts into resin production. Don't worry. Everything looks good and normal. :peace:

yes they took about 2 months but it was just 1 plant and im pretty sure it turneed hermie. just keep em under that sunlight and im sure u will get more. maybe use a small amount of mollasses. never tried it but im gonna use it on my new grow. your 1st grow should be about getting experience and next time round im sure u will get better results. genetics play a big part in yeild too
yea i'm starting to doubt that these are high yielding seeds. got em off some dank bud though

been very curious about doing a sativa dom under cfl's
cfl grower, hence my interest, looks like some good results so far
hey growone, in your experience with cfls, is it better to focus them on the tops or on the sides of the plant if i have to choose between the two options?

I am growing a lemon Haze sativa under 90W LED and 4 23W CFL bulbs.
My sativa is doing the same thing, Its about 5 weeks old and really only a bunch of pistols. I heard like in the 7-9 week of budding they really fatten up on you so expect great things in the upcoming week.
I unfortunately over fed my plants a bit because i thought they were handling it a but noticed some leaves had a mag/phos overdose so im flushing them out a bit this week.

your plants look good man keep it up

thanks. i'm actually also thinking about led+cfl combo in the future since heat is my main issue. is it working well for you?

don't waste time on CFL or led, nothing beats HID, if your looking after yield,

check pic, one plant +400w HPS,MH , = 3.1 ounces

actually, it's better to focus on the tops, but do it with the 'sides' of the cfl's
the strongest light from a cfl is at its sides, so if you can position the cfl's to surround the top of the plant, you'll get better results
this also brings the cfl's closer to the side buds for most plants, i.e. christmas tree shape
this is tricky, burns will happen, hopefully minor ones

for your first grow, still not that bad, but you see its hard just to make it to a decent smokable harvest. it might help if you added a reflector to the bulb like a clamp lamp. it seems like the cfls make flowering slower than other bulbs but sometimes cfls do alright.
you could tie the plants to a stake, stakes are cheapbut dont tie a tight knot if you use string. that protects the main stems. gotta do it better next time, if you so choose

Now about 6 weeks into flowering, heres all i have to show for it. temps are good/ so is ph, so is light, no signs of over nute, sickness/ etc. but just
growing slow as FU@#$$$$#.
I've put a small dried nug next to my main cola for size comparison.
I'm in quite a predicament as i need to move in less than 5 weeks and will have to scrape the operation by force.
I'm begining to lose faith in mother nature.

it's sativa, what else can we say?
it's what drew me to the thread, not many try a sativa in a small cfl grow
i think you're doing fine, or as well as can be expected
if you can wait till the bitter end to cut, you should have something for your trouble

um. i highly doubt any cannabis plant takes 5 MONTHS to flower lol.
that's extreme, and i don't have 1st hand experience, but i've seen some credible accounts of times close to that
you've been doing some trail blazing, and unfortunately it's the pioneers that get the arrows

Would you say my plant is budding right now?
Really tiny calyxs and hairs. When can I expect to see trichomes?/ have any smokable bud?

I have a hermie which is probably 90% female and 10% male. I have no way of knowing if it was a stress or natural hermie.
Do you think its safe to keep looking out for and removing the offensive male parts? do the nanners have pollen or can I just leave them?
I've managed the problem for the past 2 weeks with constant surveillance since i really want to get some bud of it.
