I just did my first outdoor grow this year and i ended up with a few seeds so here i am. I have two 17w 7800k grow tubes and three 20w 2700k cfl's hooked up right now. i have another 20w and two more 13w 2700k bulbs i can hook up when i get some more light fixtures.(140w total) The seedlings are 3 days old right now. I'll post some pictures tomorrow and keep updating as they grow. Should that be enough light? the lights are on 20/4 currently, im planning on switching it to 12/12 in 3-4 weeks.

Sounds good, can you get a hold of a few Y splitters?

i have absolutely no money right now but i'll try to get some if i can later.

Heres some pictures of what i got going. the tubes are 17w 7800k and the CFL's are 20w 2700k. Seedlings are five days old. I just got that pc fan hooked up and put in there too, blowing right on the plants. i used a 15v charger from my electric shaver :) should be ok i think. its a 12v fan. so how do they look? what do you think?

:bigjoint:I love the pic of the whole lamp hanging upside down. Have you thought about taking it a part? You could move it around a lot faster and if it fell it could cause a lot of distraction:cuss:

did u germinate then put the seed in the soil or did u just put the seed in the soil and let nature do its thing? and if u didnt germ and put the seed straight into the soil how far away did u keep the light from the soil and how long did it take till u saw some sprouts?

i germinated them for about 5-7 days till they were an inch or so long them stuck them in soil and they sprouted a day or two later.

Looks to me like you got some stunted growth due to temps... my last batch of plants looked the same and the temps were about 95 degrees which is not TERRIBLE but its hot enough to almost stop them from growing all together and after a long time will probably kill them.

By the way when I say not terrible i mean its not hot enough to insta fry them or anything
