I just gave them some water around the seed to moisten up the soil a little and the soil moved around a little. When I was putting the lights back on I saw this little girl(hopefully).

Just checked them and I have 8 above soil. I have a feeling one of the ones below the soil will not make it because I see the parts of the seed but no sprout to be found anywhere.

So only have 7 above soil, thought was 8. The ones that are above soil look great but the other 3 are nothing yet, hopefully they were all destined to be males I guess...

So we are definitely looking at 7, the other haven't come above soil but I will let them stay for a little while longer. They are looking good, will put up some pics soon, they are darker then I imagined them though haha.

Here to update, been about a week and two days since the first one popped above soil at all.
I am down to 7 and just double the lights to 10 cfls today(5 daylight, 5 warm).
They are look like they are doing great except for one or two. The bottom-most picture is of one that seems to basically have stopped growing and is falling behind the others. They have all been given basically the same treatment so I am not sure what to think.

Will have pics up soon, they are easily 3x or even 4x the size they were 5 days ago. I think a couple are starting to flower. Hard to tell but within a couple days I should be able to tell sex. I think I saw male flowers starting to form on one of my best but I am not sure. Going to find a good camera to get some up close pics. Smell is definitely starting to set in, can smell it when I walk in to the room now.

They are growing like crazy. Planning to water them tomorrow night most likely so might throw in my first set of nutes (probably only 1/4 or 1/5 strength).
I was looking at the bottom of the pots and its crazy, their roots have already made it to the bottom of a 3L soda bottle in two weeks. Can't imagine using solo cups until sex like have seen a lot of people do.
I think I am seeing pre-flowers on a couple but am not really sure.

mate if you put some more focused pics i can tell you for sure but from what you posted looks like males! i could be wrong
and about the pots if you have enough room transplant them to bigger ones some people like me have limited space so i prefer to have smaller pot cause that way i keep them short
looking good by the way nicely green and tight
cheers

Yea thats true, if I end up doing a pc grow this summer maybe I will start them/keep them in small pots.
Its really hard to get some good focused pics because of the size and angle of the target but I will try.
And yea to david and puff bongs, I thought they both were looking kind of male-ish, but I will definitely keep them around a little longer just in case, too bad though because they are the two best plants right now.

Yea they are all Speedy Gonzales from flash seeds.
Thinking of attempting to collect pollen on some males to get some seeds but afraid of contaminating the whole crop.

thats what i was gonna say lol keep just one male leave it on a window if you can he doesn't need much light just enough to survive and give you the pollen
you have to be very careful now cause pollen is very easily spreaded throw the air!
if you whant to pollinate just one you need to collect it to a bagie just put it under the balls and tap them with your finger next you take the selected female out of the grow space and with a brush you gently scrape the female sacks when you return the female to the grow area you need to be careful cause as i said pollen tends to spread very easly you should turn of ventilation
cheers

Yea will definitely have to do that, maybe I will put up a partition in the container for the female who has been given the the pollen. Seeds are too expensive to keep buying them , especially with autos.

EDIT: Was watering them and the two I was talking about before are definitely looking like males. However, I was looking at them all and one plant has a couple white pistils.

EDIT(3/31/2011)
Unknown: 1
Male: 3
Female: 3

So its official, 3 males, 4 females.
I killed off two of my males and kept the one I liked the best. It was 2nd to flower out of the 3 males but was a lot tighter, less sativa-ish than the fastest growing male.
How long can I keep the male with the females? I want to remove it asap but not 100% sure where I will be putting it till I can collect the pollen.

Here are some pics, transplanting the 4 females in to 3 gallon pots tomorrow and doing some work on the grow area, plants are getting close to the lights, should be touching them within a couple days.

I just posted this in the plant problems section to get more exposure to help get an answer but thought I would throw it in here for anyone who is following and for completeness.

I have been looking around on the forums and other websites but a lot of the plant problems look kind of similar(or at least to me).
It appears to be only one plant is showing problems even though I have 5 plants under the exact same conditions.
It looks more of light green, is dried and dead or I assume dead because it just crinkles off if touched.
The plant is in foxfarm soil and has been started on a regime of jack's classic bloom booster with a really low concentration, 1/4 teaspoon per gallon. It is only give about a liter of water every time so maybe I am under-watering?

3 hours and 20mg of adderall later I now have a new grow room, for a little anyway
The transplant went relatively well. One of the plants was really stuck in the 3L soda bottle and even after cutting the sides of the bottle to loosen it up the plant had to get pulled a little and now is a little loose in its soil. Hopefully it roots really well and does not have any stunting problems. Overall I think I should have transplanted as soon as I saw sex, probably would have caused less stress.
On an interesting note, the "unique" plant had bigger and more roots than any of the other plants. I put it in its new pot slights crooked so hopefully it grows straight up now.

Unfortunately the 3 gallon pots were too big for the 35 gallon tote. They didn't have any totes at the hardware store to test it in so I had to come up with something quick.
So I had to come up with something quick and here is what I got. Unfortunately this was 3/4 of my clothes closet so I am not sure what to do with all my clothes haha...
Before the pictures I have a couple questions for anyone out there still reading:
Does it look like I have enough lights for the area(10 lights- 26 watts)? I know more is better and I will see what I can do about adding more but is it adequate?
Also what do you guys think of the grow area(I will be adding mylar to some of it, mainly the back?
How do you think the plants are looking? I am 3 weeks since the first one popped out of soil

Time for pics
