CFL arrangement ... Questions

I have currently 6, 60-watt 5500k daylight spectrum CFL's and an arrangement idea.

This drawing crudely lays out my setup, I have 3 plants in a triangular pattern on my growing table. I want to place 3 CFL's above the plants (each plant having one CFL directly above it. And then 3 CFL's AROUND the buckets about halfway down the growth height so as to hit the lower branches.

My main question is (and pardon me if this is a dumb question) ... will the plants be confused or thrown off my multi-directional/height lighting? It's more the different heights that I'm curious about. Normally in nature light only comes from one direction... above. If I start placing additional CFL's lower in the grow area to hit lower leaves... will that confuse the plant? Or just give it all kinds of additional light it's gonna love?

Thoughts?

Nah man they won't get confused at all. The more light the better when it comes to CFL's. My setup is similar to yours and I have light coming from all directions.

Yeah that's true, high spectrum for veg... IMO it couldn't hurt to have a broad spectrum of light going, for example I have : 3 - 42W, 6500K. 3 - 23W, 2500K. and 2 - 13W, 5000K. and it seems to be doing well. I have had a fair amount of success using only 6500K for vegging in the past as well.
