Cell phones,GPS,and Security

I'm sure this belongs in the security forum, but I'm not of elite status. According to America Now (12/31/10,or 1/1/11) the picture-taking cellphones we use have the integrated GPS that unless turned off, will attach not only the time the pic was taken but the GPS coordinance as well. Law Enforcement :twisted: has the tech to view these pics and know exactly WHERE they were taken. I encourage all to turn "off" the GPS feature before taking pics. ESPECIALLY IF THESE PICS ARE POSTED. Please be careful, Happy growing, and Happy New Year!:joint:

holy crap......good thing i dnt keep paper trails like that anyway but that is terrable...

is that only if that pic was sent in a message?

Its looks like they do. I compared one that i uploaded here and then compared it to the file it came from on my computer and it had tons less data. Main file had camera model, date, and many other things, but the one i uploaded just has width, height, and image type.
