Cegging COB Color Temperature?

I see people trying these new 5000k, 6500k and 6700k lights but I also hear people swear up and down with 4000k.

What's the verdict? I'm about to pull the trigger on 8 cobs for a 2x4 vegging tent.

Higher k typically means broader leaves and shorter internodal spacing.
So what's best for vegging sort of depends on how you want your plant to grow
I think it's nice to establish some big fat leaves to take into flowering.
But on the other side, I often want pretty long internodal spacing leading up to the canopy, if I'm scrogging and lollipopping.

If I had full control, for scrogging I'd probably go higher k lighting at first while I top it a few times, so the branches split quite low.
Then I'd go lower k for a while while the branches stretch out and fill out the scrog net.
Then if I had time I'd like to get another week or two with high kelvin lighting, to pack in a few nodes close together as things pop out of the scrog net

Agreed, I like big floppy fanleaves especially nice if shit hits the fan and you need time to react.

Should I just do a mixed temp light with some 4k, 5700k, 6k?

Yep, I'd go a mix unless I wanted to try and take detailed control like I just mentioned
(And I do use a mix myself)

i'd go 4000k then u can use the same light to flower later on if need be

i have not yet seen the node spacing on 6500k, but I can tell you that i don't want it getting any tighter than my 4000k.
