CCFL's and growing???

So i was browsing around on amazon for computer power cords cuz i was in a pinch and used my PS3 cord for my inline fan. and i stumbled upon these.... pretty cheap stuff. Anyone used these before? or heard of anyone using them with any success?

Im thinking of using these in my setup as easy side lighting.

Go to home depot, wal-mart, light bulb shop and go buy some CFL bulbs that are 23W or higher. Don't worry with something like 23W = 100W because all you want is that first number

yea I knew that lol. Were you meaning to post that in another thread?

I was considering this for side lighting for the plant. I've got a buncha CFLs already.

I was just curious if anyone had heard of using these or had used these before ya know?

Because they are tube shaped it would be easier to light the sides of a grow box. Like I've poorly illustrated below lol.

What does Everyone think?
