CBD caps clean?

My good wife has arthritis in her hands, knees, hips, everywhere. When diagnosed by a multitude of doctors, their only solution was Naproxin, prednisone, and methotrexate. I'll leave you to Google those drugs, but we soon learned of the side effects. So we turned to cannabis.

With amazing results!

We smoked some weed we purchased at a local dispensary, and the impact was almost immediate. The pain in her hands started to recede right away.

Then in further reading here, and on other websites, we read about CBD capsules.

We work with the public once in a while and it would not be appropriate for us to use the vaporizer, so we thought CBD caps would be an ideal way for her to get some into her system, without the odour of the vaporizer.

And it worked!

However, the last two times she tried some 10 mg caps, both times she got the pain relief, but also got sick. Nausea, diarrhoea, a complete GI impact.

So, is it the CBD caps? Are they polluted with some other substances that make her sick? I don't know. We used the same CBD caps, from the same batch both times. We have had no adverse reactions to some other CBD caps she used, and, as far as we can tell, the caps we did use was the only common factor both times.

She wants to test one more cap to see if she can clearly isolate them as a source of the problem. I'm reluctant for her to do that, just in case whatever is in the caps is too harmful. She did make a full recovery from both previous episodes, but who knows what may happen if she tries it again with the same CBD caps? At age 75, her immune system is not as robust as it once was.

We have 8 caps left and I'm almost inclined to flush them, with no further testing. I think they only cost me $2.00 each, so its no big loss. I suspect lab testing would be too expensive, and may start a whole bureaucracy happening, so I'm not gonna do that.

What do you folks think?

The disturbing thing about this situation, is how do I get a reliable clean medication?
The 20 mg CBD caps we got labelled ONNIS seem to be fine, so we can continue to use them. They are nicely packaged and labelled, so they give me more confidence than the 10 mgs caps which I purchased loose in a baggie.

If it were legal, I'd grow my own medication, but here is Canada its not yet legal. (soon I hope!)

It sure sounds like the one batch has something that's not right, I'd just scrap them, not a big loss. Unfortunately anything online is unlikely to be the best option or reliable unless you can find someone to make them for you. The caps are super easy to make, you can get a medical grow license now, no need to wait for legalization. If your doctor signs off on the health Canada forms you're good to go. The medical licenses allow 5 indoor or 2 outdoor plants per gram of script you get, I'm hearing doctors are hesitant to go over 5 gram scripts, that's 25 indoor plants, plenty for meds.

Hmmm.. you make it sound easy.... I am going down to a few dispensaries to find out how to get legal. My family MD will not help.

Thanks

I have a rare form of RA that fvckers my major joints up, fills the synovial sack up, then begins to seperate the joint from all the continously fluid build-up. I've been on remicade (horrible shit), methotrexate injections, Metro dose packs, depomedrol shots (last 2 were 2 days ago from a Flare up in my hand). I went from 2 to 3 flare ups a month for 16 yrs down to about 1 every 4-6 months since I've been on my mj meds. I grow my own legally, and 2 MS patients also respond very well to this treatment. 1 dropped 8 pills daily, other lady dropped 5 daily. Both can sleep at night fully for at least 7 hrs.

I do not take any RA drugs currently. I vape .75-1.0g of Cannatonic 4 cbd HP pheno rosin and my normal high thc (gg4, darlins net, chaos, mob boss) rosin at a 75% cbd to 25% thc rosin ratio, mixed. Daily. It takes quote a few plants to meet my monthly needs. Flowers did nothing, unless I wanted to smoke blunts by myself. Not into blunts.

There are times I still need a metro dose pack and a deposed depomedrol shot.

there are canna doctors that will help you get a card. some CBD products contain heavy metals that could make you sick. my local dispensary sells a CBD oil that is extracted from charlottes web and is very clean.I have had osteoarthritis for years and cannabis and CBD oils are the only thing that loosens my joints and makes me more mobile

I bought a bunch form a local dispensary. The first batch worked well for managing pain and fatigue as well. The second batch was a dud. Took 2, no help. Took 4, still no help. I decided to open one, expecting to find a small dab of cannabis oil inside. What I found was simply some very finely ground cannabis. At that point I realized I should just make my own, and when I manage to get my hands on some Charlotte's Web I will.

I grew some of Sin City's Thunderstruck (20:1 CBD/THC) and just harvested two small plants for a total of 110 grams of dry flowers. Extracted with organic coconut oil and put it in 00 caps I ordered off of Amazon. Got 416 capsules that I guess to be somewhere between 20 and 50 mg of CBD each. With compliment cascade of other cannaboids and a hint of THC for good measure. I have been taking retail CBD processed from hemp that is supposed to be 20 mg each (and is effective) but when I switched to my own it is much more effective. I'm a newb and this was my second grow ever and I am extremely proud of my product. I am a very angry person, and two of these caps a day make me a tolerable human being. Also helps with insomnia and the chronic pain I have in my R leg and broken back. This stuff is a magic bullet for mental illness, and seems to be good for EVERYTHING else as well. If it isn't working, take more. But it gets really really really expensive very quickly, so grow your own. I was looking for Charlotte's Web but so far haven't been able to. This is a comparable strain and its available at a variety of seed banks. I got mine from seed supreme.com (6 free fem seeds with my order-scored some OG Kush and the discrete shipping was better than the other two seed banks I've ordered from. Look, anybody can do this (and should!) so if your unhappy with your health or you have people you love that are suffering there is something you can do to help.
