Catnip and Green crack

Hey there, new to the forums. Any tips or comments are appreciated I can't wait to start my super grow closet. Some of it is already started, I'm using some flor lights and dirt to grow, but indoor. I don't wanna deal with all the bugs and such. The plant is green crack. It's going to be the mother for all my clones, and eventually I'm going to create an aeroponic/drip system. So... here are some pics!

Oh, I grabbed this catnip plant from petsmart. It started off smaller than my fist. I'm pretty sure Wedgie is happy it's not that small anymore. He loves the nip.(As MJ is harmful to cats)

Hey there still vegin my mother plant. Just watered it with some tap. Does anyone know if I should be giving this plant any type of nutrients? I'm not going to any time soon... but was wondering if I should be.

Still haven't added any nutrients to the plant in soil. The soil has some stuff in it and I don't wanna overdo it. Building my aero system next week. Have a line up of parts and URLs if anyone else is interested in doing the build, and the actual price. Instead of saying some bullshit like an aero system only cost 60$(not true).

Anyone is welcome to comment in this journal... just saw the post saying 'Don't post in other's journals.' More than welcome to in mine. :)

Damn man it would cost less if you bought some of that stuff somewhere else . All of that stuff other then the hydroponic gear from HTG seems quite expensive. Check out a local hydro store for some of that stuff if possible, might be a little cheaper. Just trying to help out. I am not one to shop online much unless absolutely necessary.

how is mj harmful to cats?
I dont feel its harmful.I would think it would be like grass(good for their digestive system). I never mind my cat chewing on some leaves. Doesnt seem to have any effect on my cat. I always let my cat follow me into the veg room and do whatever he wants. He does not hurt nothing just bites a couple fan leaves here and there. Doesn't seem to like flowering plants as much but still nibbles once in a while. Although I have been looking for a while to get a cat nip plant but havent found one yet. My cats would love one. I feed my oldest one cat nip if I am leaving for the night or going out til late. I let him eat a nice pinch of bought cat nip(mostly stems and shake) and he plays for a little, eats, and then passes out for about 10 hours.
Sorry for rambling, you know what that wacky stuff does to ya

Petsmart has little baby catnip plants on sale for like 4 bucks a pop. Take it, replant, water and put it in your back yard. Every time I go outside to smoke a stog the cat goes nuts over the thing. My cat won't even go near dried catnip now that we have the plant. He loves it.

As for MJ being harmful for cats, I just meant smoking the thc and blowing it in their face. Heard it's bad news on a few different sites. I don't think it would do any harm for them to bite fan leaves or sniff the colas.

OH, and all that stuff from HTG supply I bought from my local hydro store. Thanks for the tips on prices, saved some serious money there.

So while i'm sittin here... puffin' on this jack 91... I made some clones this wednesday. Should be showing roots any day now. The mother plant is also doing very well after I took cuttings from her. Using GH Micro and Flora on the mother now. She is growing pretty fast.

Parts for grow

Tent 4x4x6.5 - Check
Pump 400gph - Check
Timer(pump) - Check
Timer(Light) - Check
600 hps Light - Check
Ventilation and fan - Check
Ph Meter - Check
PPM meter - Check
Nutrients GH - Check
Airstones and Airpump - Check
PVC Structure - Check
Rubbermaid Tub - On it's way
Spray Nozzles - On their way
4x4x40 PVC Fence - On their way
4x4 PVC Fence Cap - On their way

Once all this stuff comes in, and the clones show roots... I'll be testing the aeroponics system asap.

Also does anyone know if I'm supposed to water 24/7 or just 12/12 like the light cycle once i get this thing off the ground?

hmm.

yeah, my cats nibble on mj same as grass, then again they also nibbled on the lucky bamboo. bit poisonous, cats were puking, dont see them puking becuase of the mj though.

catgrass.. i need to keep in my flowering cabinet or the cats tear it to shreds on sight.

smoke..

dunno, my cats actually actively sniff the air with a happy face if its a very kind bud, nice smell.

but if its a worse smelling strain or too much tobacco (i mix with tobacco) then they will move away from the smoke (mostly talking about momma cat that always sleeps right next to me, i dont blow it into their faces unless they ask for it (kinda look when im smoking kind bud (though not always) and sniff the air when i blow it at them)

only did it though because i saw they liked the smoke.

only 2 cats out of 5 (i have 5, happy accident that never found homes but in my heart)

like the smoke though (and only occasionally even if its good)

all of them go nuts over the cat nip though :D

hehehe, makes my cat go nuts for 5 minutes.

its the smell.

the more you crush the plant matter you cut off, the more smell and the nutsier the cats go (rubbed it once on my fingers, got bit and then stared at really sorrily by the cat for a second before he couldnt help himself again and bit me some more (though only nipping, he was barely restraining himself)

then they lose interest and go away , come back maybe in 15 minutes sometimes lol

Ok so here's an update. The aeroponics system is up and running. 12/12 right now flowering for my clones, 4 of the 6, where put into the system 2 days ago. I have roots showing in my other 2 clones so they will most likely be going in soon. PPM of the water is 150, PH is 5.7 and steady. Feeding on 1 min, off for 5. Using GH flora series for this grow. My aero beast has a total of 14 sites on it, each with it's own spray head. Everything seems to be pretty much in order except for a few leaks, which aren't that bad because my floor is waterproofed. So far I've seen a half inch growth in roots since I put them in the system. I noticed wilting immediately on the clones when they went in, but upon observing today they seemed perked up. I'll post pictures when the light(600 watt hps) is on.

Day 3 of flower. Showing some root porn... Made 6 additional clones for the other slots. They will go in, in about a week or so. This is a SOG grow.

Today is day 5... just checked the ph and it's on track... 5.8 exactly. I guess i fed a little more than antisipated as the ppm is higher today than yesterday... I did measure right after i mixed so.... maybe it just mixed in the res some more. Currently at 289. The roots today where very pleasing to see. Compared to yesterday's growth they are about twice as long! Some new growth on the leaves of each plant but it's minimal. Hoping to see bigger plants sometime next week? Oh and cheers to my hand looking like a fucking blimp. nice.
