if you've got caterpillars, its kinda too late to bring them in. they probably hatched from laid eggs in your bud earlier on in the season. even if you kill them all there is still a chance more will show. im guessing youre pretty far into flower. im dealing with a plant that is similar, overrun by bud worms. you could use a BT treatment but its not recommended if youre close to harvest. just grab, pull, and pinch those fuckers............

cheers

My plant got a few budworms when it was almost ready to be harvested, so I just picked off the budworms by hand then put my plant inside to finish up. My plant was fine and there were luckily no more budworms on the plant. But idk how far into flowering you are. If you have about a week left, you can do what I did.

Budworms are a big problem if unchecked. The mold is a issue in bud damaged by the worms. With carefull trimming you can salvage anything that is not moldy. Aethetics are gross but after drying you cannot tell. At very least the mildly damaged bud is good for bubble or medibles. I cannot tell there was mild damage when I smoke bud that has been well cleaned up.
