you betcha, already getting top heavy. we're going to use nylon string to support the branches, and i'll be trimming the bottoms for airflow and getting rid of suckers next week. i like to let em stretch out before thinning, because some of those low branches make awesome colas if you strip behind the tip.

its great, heavy duty, Cat's talking about getting another filter and using the fan to power both. However this is an overkill system for our tent (5x10) we may upgrade to larger hoods. Kinda regretting getting the 6 inch when we could have gotten the 8 inch hoods to begin with. We're looking at King Cobra hoods or equivalent, roughly a 3x3 air cooled.

wowwy 30" X 42" that's a heck of a reflector. nice that you went for a shiny nu tent, hope it holds added steel ok. ive only run a one-light 5' X 5' tent and it flexes some. exhaust vent line may influence the sound on the filter/fan. if needed, you cld build a muffler too. ive done one

flexible tubing with insulation sleeve helps. seen it already on 6" at home center, but haven't looked for 8

the fan actually isn't that loud when connected, all you can hear is the rush of air once the tent is closed. I'm loving this tent, says it can hold 350lb+ from the ceiling (88lbs per pole x 6 poles) which would be 528 lbs. I'd never trust that much, but i put most of my weight one the one side, and it barely flexed. the new reflector is less than 40lbs with the bulb, more awkward than heavy.... putting it in tonight, can't wait to see the light spread! we have to do an update tonight, these girls are getting GINORMOUS!!!

the fan and can have completely eliminated the smell, so I'm super happy about that! check in this evening after 930pm abe, we'll have an update ;)

peaches don't feel too good today, but she said hi, and will be on later.

Got an update for you guys, we got the Raptor hood installed last night and would have posted an update but we're both sick :( so it was all we could just to get it done. We both felt pretty gross, thank god it seems whatever we were afflicted with is easing up now. So without further ado, onward!! :mrgreen:


The stretch overnight was incredible, nearly 2 inches! at the end there's a short vid of us turning on the Raptor for the first time. Enjoy! :bigjoint:

as you can tell, the noise factor is minimal with it installed.
