The Carolina are a great place to grow family friends and weed. I've been growing here for years . Just wish they would pass props H1380 and S220 so we could all come out the shadows.

Been busy helping some friends in NC trying to get HB1380 passed . We need support in SC trying to get S.220 back up on the senate floor , Havent found alot of supporters that are willing to speak up for this bill . Are all the growers and users in SC scared to speak up for their rights ? Come on man , speak your mind and let you voices be heard and lets get this bill back on the floor and get it passed

i just wrote our governor a letter last month to try to find out if anything is going on in sc about decimalization and i got a response saying that he was not for marijuana and there is nothing being done about it now and he does not plan on doing anything so we need to get sanford out and get a pro weed governor !!! i think we have a election comeing up soon this year so everyone needs to try to vote him out or we will be stuck for another 4 years or ever how long they stay in office

South Carolina medical marijuana patients need your help now

Last update: January 27, 2010
In 2007, Sen. William Mescher (R-Berkley Co.) introduced S. 220, a compassionate bill that would allow patients with cancer, multiple sclerosis, severe pain, and other serious illnesses to use marijuana with their doctors' approvals. Sen. Mescher seemed like an unlikely sponsor of medical marijuana to many people. However, his sponsorship demonstrates the fact that treating suffering is not a partisan issue.
Sen. Escher's first wife died of lung cancer. Her doctor said that medical marijuana might be able to help relieve her pain and suffering and allow her to enjoy the end of her life. Sen. Mescher realized that South Carolina's policy of criminalizing the seriously ill is cruel and needs to be changed.
Sadly, Sen. Mescher died of a stroke on April 8, 2007. None of his colleagues in the Senate were willing to carry the bill and it died in the Senate Committee on Medical Affairs without any additional hearings. Please take a moment to contact your state representatives now and urge them to introduce a medical marijuana bill next session.
In order to move forward with marijuana policy reform, there needs to be an open discussion about the issue throughout the state. An excellent way to get the discussion started is by writing a letter to the editor of your local paper. Please take a few minutes to craft a brief letter to the editor in support of S. 220.

Well just so everyone knows , its now legal to use MMJ in Washington DC home of the federal government . The same SOBs that say its a drug and the gateway to all that's evil . So why cant we in the Carolinas use it legally ? This is a bunch of horse shit , I for one will be fighting for S.220 to be revised and passed into law . I am starting a network to help MMJ patients here in SC ( SCMCN ) South Carolina Medical Cannabis Network . Anyone that cares to help and show support for getting S.220 revised and passed pls PM me .
I've got emails into NORML now about the Charleston chapter but still no reply. I guess SC doent merrit attention from these ppl or their just to busy to reply . I dont know , but its time someone took the bull by the horns and started to do something to make some changes .
