Still not saying he wants to get rid of medicaid/medicare/foodstamps.

When asked directly on that point he says he doesn't want to get rid of those programs.

i already quoted him stating that he wants to reallocate all the funds of medicaid into the idea of health savings accounts.

that means no more medicaid for you or your kid, pie.

how do you not get this?

“I do not believe in imposing things on people,” Carson said. “I believe in presenting things that are so attractive that people will quickly migrate to them.”

so how quickly are you going to migrate to a health savings plan and insurance you have stated that you are unable to afford, rather than the medicaid welfare you depend on then?

you really should vote democrat. not sure why you are voting against your own best interests.

i mean, i am doing fine. i have several trades, any of which would make me a nice living by itself, and a wife who has the same going for her, plus she has investments and assets galore. we don't need any help. we should vote republican, but we are not greedy. we want to help people like you who are less skilled, less lucky, and not as well off.

why don't you want to help yourself out in the same way?

Medicaid does provide a valuable service. Having dealt with it, I know there are areas that need to be improved.

I can like one thing about the program and dislike another thing about it.

Ben Carson Just Backtracked on His Radical Minimum Wage Idea
He changed his mind sometime between the second and fourth GOP debates.

On stage at the second debate, Carson said that he was ”probably” or “possibly” in favor of raising the federal rate, which has been stuck at $7.25 since 2009. “I think we need to get both sides of this issue to sit down and talk … and negotiate a reasonable minimum wage.”

Carson even went a step further and suggested tying the minimum rate to inflation so it would adjust automatically each year. “[W]e should index [the new federal minimum wage] so that we never have to have this conversation again in the history of America,” he said.

When asked again about the minimum wage at the fourth Republican debate on Tuesday night in Milwaukee, Carson backpedaled out of the liberal territory he’d tiptoed into.

When asked explicitly if he would raise the minimum wage, Carson replied, “I would not raise it.”

why are you advocating for a candidate who wants to get rid of it, give you a voucher to put in a health savings account, and then tell you to go get insurance for the rest when you have stated you cannot afford the insurance?

too bad.

flaming pie, who i have always respected until recently, was counting on ben to "increase economic opportunity" for her family, so that she could afford the fact that he wants to kick them off medicaid and crack down on their growing for side income.

a race to the bottom sure won't do that for her.
