CARBON SCRUBBER newb question

hey i know this is dumb but what exactly goes inside of a carbon scrubber? activated carbon... i get this but what exactly is that and where can i get it? how much do i need to put in there and how much does it cost? any help with this will be greatly appreciated.. thanks

Are you making your own carbon filter? If so, you can find activated charcoal, ideally suited for your needs, on Ebay. All "carbon" filters use activated charcoal.

If you don't want to go through the hassle of building your own, you can buy one for almost the same cost. A good filter that will last you about 18 months of continual use, with 4" intakes and exaust vents will cost you about $135 at your local hydro store. Effective too.
