carbon filter connected to cool tube light hood

I'm about to dump the CFLs for some hid's.
So I'm curious if I get an air cooled light hood, if there would be any draw backs to connecting the carbon filter to the intake hood instead of having two exhaust outlets :joint: toke up :peace:

That would mean you would have go suck air from ur grow room. Will make it harder to control heat that's for sure.

What else do you recommend, and why do you think it makes it harder to control heat? I'm well into my second grow with this setup, and I've *never* had an issue with heat. Even in the dead of summer with no A/C, I only went barely over 83* twice, and my tent is in a 12'x5' walk in closet in the farthest location from a window my apartment has.

I suck air from the tent and blow it into the surrounding room while the passive intakes suck in cooler air which is compressed because it is brought in much slower than what is being sucked out. I leave the closet door open about 6" when lights are on for air replacement. If your tent is close to a window, put an intake vent from the window to the passive intake, and/or vent the hot tent air directly outside.

yes one major draw back . you would save electricity . lol . no point running a fan just for that.
