Capitate Stalked Glandular Trichomes

This is my first time with an outdoor grow and I'm somewhat confused. Clones were put in the ground the first week of April and I have been anticipating a late October harvest. They are good sized...8 to 9 feet tall and probably 4 to 5 feet wide. The tips of the pistils are just now starting to turn but the majority are still white. I decided to grab my 30X for a closer look at the glands. Here is what I see...30% clear trichomes and the remaining 70% have opaque heads with dark stalks. I also see dark stalks without a head as if they have already ruptured. I can't really tell if the stalks are black, purple, brown, etc...Just that they are dark in color. Clones from the same mother, that were grown indoors, didn't exhibit this. I harvested these when the trichomes milked. Part of me says these outdoor plants are ready to chop while another part of me says to keep em in the dirt for a potential growth spurt. Am I witnessing the degradation of my THC content or will it be safe to harvest in October? I have grown indoors for 3 years and have NEVER seen the trichome stalks turn dark like this.
