i got a small cab.... and i cant seem to keep humidity up... i dont know if its a problem.. but it is my understanding that plants in veg should be around 70% and right now its about 26% it usally hangs around 30's but it can go less or more if lights on or off....also ive tryed water in the grow room.. i currently have 2 cups of water just chilling in there... it seemed to help for a day or two but then it just went back down.... throu the past month or so its been at 15% ( minimum) 69%(max) even thou i think when it read 69 it wasnt in the grow box. temps range between 60's to mid 80's

yeahh sounds like you need to cool it down in there a little try not to let it get above 70 if possible 60 is a good area to try and keep it at.

I keep the humidity as low as possible, around 30% is good...I dont worry about mold, and the plants transpire better at low humidity...I dont know why you would want it over 40%??? My plants definately love it dry...

He's not asking about his temps JB. Which are fine btw.....60 is FAR to low. What are you talking about man? 25 C/ 77 F is ideal lights on. 60 would be a low lights off temp man.

Anyway....for your humidity problem. Standing water is no good, as you know. Even with a bubbler going in it does not help. I have tried. I had to invest in a humidifier to keep my R/H at 40-45% (flowering). I like having this extra control over my environment. I would recommend you get yourself one too. You can get them in all sorts of sizes for differrent areas, I'm sure you could find one suitable for your grow space. Good luck. :joint:

humidity also has its problems, by creating an environment suitable for growing things you do not want....my plants so far have spent their entire time in 25-35% humidity and seem to be doing quite well. I have read similar information, but would have to search for the reference. I talked to fdd about it, and his response was.....his outdoor grows are consistently below 40% for the duration...and I certainly won't be the one to debate his results.....good luck! watch the plant.....it will tell you if things are not to its liking....

I'm sure a lot of folks on this site (and elsewhere) would love to have those temp and humidity ranges. How are your plants? i'm betting they are beautiful. if it ain't broke ....

you need your temp. to go up between 90-and 95 degrees if you are using CO2. and be sure your plants are getting more light than usual. also increase the nute dosage.

i hope some of you guys are kidding... i need to lower my temps and raise my humidity.... at the moment my plants are goin yello around the edges of the leaves folowed by some blackening or whitening ... i dont think plants like hot and dry... they like wet and warm
if you have any doubt on that look at rainforests :)

newsflash....cannabis does NOT grow in the rainforest! I think you would benefit from a little more reading about where cannabis grows naturally....almost anywhere in the world....but certainly not in the rainforest....

Not kidding - you can do what you think you have to but i doubt the yellowing is from temps/humidity.

my temps average 74 with the lights on and 65 with the lights off and my humidity rarely gets above 40% (usually around 30%). any plant problems i have are resolved with adjusting pH/nutes and distance to the light.

Unless you are using CO2 injection, high temps slow down growth and high humidity is an invite to mold, pests, and plant disease.

i was not saying that cannabis did grow in the rainforest ... i was simply stating that plants would grow better in a high humidity and warm climate(rainforest) as oposed to a dry and hot place. say a desert.... the yellowing in the leaves is from something... and im about 70% sure it is the heat. im not sure what rule humidity plays.... but im sure being that low cant help it may discourage mold but as for actully benefiting the plant... i see no purpose... im sure those temps work for you.... but ive also herd people say there plants do fine in 100+ degree weather... mine would be dead 1 day in if my temps were that hot. so what im saying is im trying to get my temp/hum to an ideal factor... from what i herd around 75 degrees when the lights on and 70% humidity for veg... by time they flower they could prolly take higher temps... but it doesnt matter... and i'd like a lower humidity 40-50% to keep the mold off the buds...

If you want to lower your temps you should use an air-conditioner or air-cool the lights. A humidifier/dehumidifier should resolve any humidity issues.

Plants that are adapted for the rainforest grow well in the rainforest...cacti grow well in the desert because they are adapted for the desert. cacti do not grow well in the rainforest. cannabis does not grow in the desert or the rainforest. its not adapted to either.

please my man...if you're gonna ask question, and seek assistance, please listen...and then go off and read and learn. It will be to your benefit. either you prove us all wrong or your learn something you did not know before. there are volumes of information that high temps and low humidity produce great weed. please take a moment to familiarize yourself with this literature. good luck...and keep asking questions...its the only way any of us learn or any of us can help.... :peace:

are you kidding me? i just asked a simple question... and people are telling me this and that about there setups... how they like there temps under 70 or above 90... both not advised. then people telling me to keep my humidity very low(still not advised) then when i try to make a point your telling me im wrong ? about a point.... not a fact about growing weed ... all i asked was how do i raise humidity... aparently leaving bowls of water does not work... so i need a very small humidifyer or to find another option

Mine stay between 63-96 degrees F, and humidity is between 25-53% at all times, my girl is beautiful, healthy, at has some fat ass flowers on her right now at week 4 of flowering.
Like 468 just said, "If it ain't broke..."

your yellowish leaves are from lack of a nutrient(S) don't look at the rainforests when relating to weed. weeds natural habitat is nowhere near the rainforest. thats not a smart thing to say. plants love it in hot dry places, ecspecially during the flowering stage. the buds are MUCH more likely the get some type of mold or fungus in high humidity such as a rainforest climate. Outdoor grows are so MUCH more successful on the west coast because the weather is dry in places like cali, the opposite of the east coast.
